I wasn't aware of Maison de Victor Hugo prior to visiting Paris. But as I was walking around the neighborhood I saw signs to it and I was curious about visiting it considering he wrote the novel Les Miserables which is my favorite musical. We...More

Free visit, so might as well! Worth going to simply to hang out at the Place des Vosges. Grab a gelato at Amorino and stay for a while in the gorgeous area!

Not much here, but if you are at the Place des Vosges, pop in. It’s free! (And they gave a bathroom.)

We went in because it was included on our Paris Museum pass. I stronglt recommend purchasing the museum pass, as it also serves as a tremendous time saver for busier museums because you can skip the lines to buy tickets. In this case, it got...More

Audio guide €5 and you will be pretty lost without it. Most things are only in French. Some interesting recreations of the rooms he lived in, and as most places of interest the house itself deserves a look. Didn't really tweak my monkey, but as...More

Very nice small museum of the apartment where he spend quite a part of his live. The bedroom where he died was conserved and looks very original.

Step back in time, and get a glimpse, into the Life of Victor Hugo. His home is something you should see. The ornate decorations and period furniture are very well maintained. Some of the wall hangings depict characters from his novels. It is interesting to...More
