One of the oldest churches in Paris and one of only two that has its own cemetery. Very small and often closed,

Not far at all from Sacre Coeur is this 12th century small church overlooking Paris. Not many come here to visit this humble and charming church.

The oldest cathedral on Montmartre - its building goes back to the 12 century. Very calm and cosy, with nice atmosphere. Long time ago there was an abbey, transformed into the cathedral. Nearby there is a cemetery, where sculptor Pigalle was buried.

We were mesmerized by the quintet practicing period instruments and singing medieval songs. The vaulted ceilings were lovely and it’s a more personal space than the grandeur of Sacre Coeur. The stained glass plays on the columns to make beautiful artwork.

Just around the corner from the basilica Sacred Heart is this very much, less frequented gem on Montmartre hill. This church is about 700 years older than the basilica and hidden away, just around the corner! Wish I had read up on its history before...More

This is a quaint little church worth peeking into. We almost did not even realize we could go in until we noticed a few others coming and going from a door in the courtyard. If you are interested in churches, it is definitely worth stopping...More

Just next to Sacre Coeur you have a chance to see one of the oldest churches in France. It'a very interesting both from the outside and inside, and the medieval music that plays inside makes you feel like it's 800 years ago. Must see when...More

The church is a lovely stop on the wait to Sacre-Coeur. I don't think this is a must see, but it's not a disappointment either.

Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and

church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano
bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers
thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy
