Free entrance 👍🏼 lovely stained glass windows, and you can actually attend mass here. I would come back for a guided tour I think it would be interesting.

Get there as it opens, have a quick look around, quickly admire the beautiful windows, make a donation then get out as soon as you can. This house of God soon becomes something quite unpleasant. The crowds soon build up, the large noisy rude shoving...More

The architecture is wonderful and the visit of first floor is free. It’s a little bit dark inside, but the stained glasses are amazing.

This was one if the most beautiful cathedrals we saw in paris. We climbed to the top and it has such amazing views. Got to see the bell tower as well. Inside the cathedral was even more spectacular than imagined, the glass stained windows were...More

Such a gorgeous Cathedral! We went early on the morning to avoid the crowd. It is free to go inside the cathedral but will have to pay if you want to go up to the tower ( which is so interesting). You will need a...More

We took Quasimodo home. I wish I could stop there but this requires 100 characters. So enjoy the pictures. He was quite a celebrity.

The architecture and history of this cathedral is amazing. Definitely worth seeing when in Paris. The line wasn’t too long, like many other attractions in Paris.

On a trip to the French open, we alighted the Metro along the way to take a sneak peek at the cathedral as we hadn’t seen it for a few years. It’s a truly magnificent structure and worth a few minutes of anyone’s time to...More

Perhaps I didn’t plan my visit well, but this is a very old, dark cathedral. The stain glass roses were beautiful. The history is interesting, but the cathedral itself was a bit of a letdown.

Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very
heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité,
sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of
Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the
site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held
before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic
Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the
Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island,

I wouldn’t bother with a tour guide, it’s quite self explanatory. All you need to do is go to the side of the building and purchase a ticket from the machine, choose your time to go up and then wait until then. They do like... More

Hi, my girls really want to go see the gargoyles from the tower. I have downloaded the app already (we go in 3 weeks) to get online on the day to try to get a morning time slot. Sooo, from reading all the reviews etc. I'm expecting to be knee deep in crowds. My questions therefore are; 1) the app apparently will start taking requests for time slots at 7:30am. We will be arriving into Paris from outside the centre of Paris, is it true the app will only pick up if you are fairly close to the cathedral? 2) If we got to the cathedral around 09:30 without being successful with the app and book a time slot using the machines, can anyone give me an idea of the earliest slots that may be available?? Sorry for the mania, but we'll only be in Paris for one day and have already booked a skip the line ticket for the Eiffel Tower at 12:30 and was really hoping to get to the Notre Dame towers first, if possible. Thanks everyone x

Just go to the cathedral and queue first to get into the cathedral, and then you queue again at the left side to climb up to the tower. Get there early - at 8 a.m. - and you will get to the Eiffel Tower in time for your... More
