Really crowded and noisy, a lot of people drinking around, lots of peddlers trying to sell statuettes but a must see place.

Nice views of the Eiffel Tower from here. It’s worth a stop if you’re going to see the tower in the day or at night.

Be sure to come from the Ecole Militaire direction to have one of the most beautiful views of the Eiffel tower in my opinion. Also this is a great place to have a pique-nique as it is less crowded than the nearby Trocadero. On the...More

The parc is at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, so of course it has great views of it - probably the best you can get without being in a helicopter. When we visited it was very dry and dusty - the dust was everywhere,...More

Huge open area around the Eiffel Tower with fancy neighborhoods on either side. This was the site of several worlds fairs, now a huge park. Watch out for gypsies working scams.

The Parc du Champ de Mars is fantastic right outside the Eiffel Tower and during our visit on Bastille Day was the centre of all of the celebrations a truly wonderful place.

This park is the perfect area to enjoy an evening picnic with a spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower. The park is free to enter and seems safe. The tower is to the west of the park, so sunset views are terrific. In the long...More

This is a great place to go if you want to get Eiffel pics early in the morning. Gets crowded later in the day, but a good place for a cute picnic in the afternoon.

We didn't feel unsafe in either area. We had dinner about a block away from the Champ de Mars and then walked over to the park to watch the Eiffel Tower twinkle at night. You have to be careful but it wasn't unsafe. Both are... More
