Cocktails that are worth the pricetag - masterful, unusual and to be savoured. The atmosphere was more casual than we were expecting, which was nice, and the staff were very friendly.
It would be great to return again when the terrace is open, during the warmer months.

We spent NYE here in this lounge. It was small and intimate - perfect for us. So classy and beautifully decorated. The music was great and the drinks were perfect. There was max 60 people and everyone was on the dance floor. This hotel lounge is gorgeous and I’m glad we decide to hangout here as it ended up being a perfect night.

We came with 6 friends to enjoy a cocktail in Le Bar Botaniste of the Shangri-La hotel in Paris. Amazing moment and delightful cocktails prepared and super well-explained by the official bartender of the hotel.
I fully recommend this place !

Amazing service when we stopped at the Shangri-la after going to the Crazy Horse show.
Service was outstanding!
We were talked through the cocktails and given advice on where to eat as part of our stay with the extremely friendly lady servicing us.
It was a just a lovely experience and something we had wanted to do having seen their cocktails on instagram.
Quality, service and the wow factor did not disappoint.
Thank you to the team working late on 9th August 2018 - you are superb and an asset to the Shangri-la group.

While my experience overall was great, I would like to particularly compliment Jordy, a trainee employee, on his professionalism and friendliness, I felt very at home. I only stayed one night, but he made my short stay very enjoyable by personally taking me around the hotel and telling me the very interesting history of the hotel. 5 stars

I have stayed in this hotel twice, once with my wife and once with a child barely into double digits. On both occasions, the Paris Shangri-La was absolutely perfect for our needs.
I can never forget my first visit to this marquee hotel. It was spring ... in Paris. Our car swept up to the entrance of this grand former palace and my wife and I stepped out to a warm welcome from a young and lovely Asian lady who brought us up to our room for checking in.
We walked through a gorgeous but not imposing lobby to a discreet lift hidden in a corner beyond the check-in desk and were whisked up to what is so far in my long life of extensive business travel the most stunning hotel room I've ever stayed in. This is how dukes and lords must live, I thought. A bed big enough to sleep my entire family lay under a dark green velvet canopy. at the foot of the bed stood a table with a chilled jug of milk and the most perfect chocolate-chip cookies I'd ever seen. I cried at the first bite. I turned to the far wall where a sideboard held an ice bucket with four bottles of Heineken. Next to this stood a tall tray with a pyramid of chocolates sprinkled onto it like a tower. I wouldn't have been surprised to see a princess sunning herself at the window or a gnome in the corner spinning straw into gold. It was that kind of magical place.
After a quick signature and a handover of our keycards, our gracious hostess departed with a quiet click of the door closing. My wife turned to me and asked, with a look of wonder in her eye, "Do you travel like this all the time?" But a glance at my astonished and delighted face told her that, no, I didn't, but I sure wish I did.
We returned a year or so later, bringing our young son on his first visit to one of the most charming cities in the world. We had a weekend in this hotel -- and a room upgrade! We soon learned our way around what must be one of the most beautiful hotels in the world. All three of us were welcome everywhere and treated like royalty. The Concierge Desk is staffed by people who have answer to every possible query at the tip of their tongue or the end of a phone call. Changing dinner plans three times before deciding finally? No problem! Their advice on how, when and where to play tourist was sagacious and kind.
in fact and without exception, all staff whom we met were consistently happy to help and pleased with the joy my family and I were clearly feeling, whether it was over the beauty of the lounge by the entrance or the excellent breakfast with its European and Asian options laid out like examples of perfection. This croissant? It is the acme of croissants, everything any croissant anywhere aspires to be. This pickled ginger? It's the first one ever made and the standard by which all others are set.
And Le Bar Botaniste? A beautiful hotel bar, with an excellent wine selection and a warm welcome for my wife, for me and for our son. It proved to be great for people watching, but I loved looking at the paintings inside the bar, too.
From the first glance at this hotel's lovely exterior and even more exquisite interior, to the warmth exuded by everyone working there and the evident top quality they strive for in all they do and make, it is clear that the Paris Shangri-La wants to be remembered as the best luxury hotel in one of the world's most competitive markets. I haven't stayed in all of the small handful of Paris's highest-end hotels -- I've only stayed in a few and don't have the experience to be objective. I'm afraid my time at the Paris Shangri-La makes me unwilling to try another.

A cold day in Paris is the perfect reason to enjoy a desert at "the Bar" located at the Shangri-La Hotel Paris in the former palace of Roland Bonaparte, Napoléon Bonaparte grandnephew.
Located on the Chaillot Hill close to the Musée Guimet, “Le bar” is elegant and warm with its beautiful wood panel and fireplace. I was greeted by Valentin who seated in a calm part of the room. After presenting me the selection of desert, i asked him to choose for me and he brought me a re-invented Paris Brest by pastry Chef Michael Bartocetti
Need to go back to try the vegan afternoon tea!
