Although a small land train, the commentary was ok, but the ride was bumpy and a little uncomfortable. Th train leaves Moulin Rouge and goes to the top outside Sacre Coer. Alight here and take photos and a quick visit and catch the next train...More

I'm glad we did this train ride as a basic visual introduction to Montmartre. It was pretty smelly from the engine, and the commentary was disappointingly brief and unhelpful, but the ride did help orient us a little for walking around on our own afterward....More

We had a few hours spare in Paris and I dearly wanted to visit Sacre Cœur and Montmarte. We saw the trains heading off from the departure point to the left of Sacre Cœur (facing the church), and so thought we’d hop on the next...More

I liked this train for several reasons. First, the walk up to Montmartre is tiring even if you took the funicular, which I highly recommend. If you are planning to stay awhile up there, what is not to like about sitting on a little train...More

The little train promises a commentary on the history of Montmartre as you drive along. If you’re hoping for a good commentary, forget it. There’s very little, what there is tends to come after you’ve passed the landmark, and the noise rolling over the cobblestones...More

The little train covers the neighborhood of Montmartre as a fairly slow pace. There is some recorded narration. The unexpectedly fun part came when the train stopped in front of the Moulin Rouge. There is a large fan in the ground and kids were climbing...More

If you are on the hill close to Sacre Coeur then do not miss the white little train. You will relax by siting and enjoying the atmosphere though going up and down Montmartre, its famous vinyard, the places where the famous painters lived or created...More

We picked this up right outside the Sacre Coeur, didn't book and it cost 6 euro for adults. We must have been on for about 35 mins but we went all around Montmartre with lots of history in the audio description. Really enjoyed it!

Great trip around Montmartre on the mini train. Ours was included in the Paris pass ticket. Make sure you ask for the Paris pass train as there is another which will cost 6 euros and the man with that train is not very helpful and...More

I've been to Montmartre quite a few times, but this was my first time visiting with my five year old son. Quite a few people recommended taking the little train up the hill, so I thought I'd give it a try. In my opinion, it's...More

Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and
styles which changes from one street to another. Ride
the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the
steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the
Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The
church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano
bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers
thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy

Hi - I think what that is referring to is a private hire of the entire 'train' to go where you would like, such as a shopping trip. As for getting on and off, yes you can get on at either Montmarte or Sacre Coeur. Loads of... More

Not sure about the hop on hop off option, but perhaps you could ask the driver. We started our trip from Montmartre after doing The Basilica.
