We stayed at Carda Beach between Jun-12 - Jun-15 and were expecting a quiet and fulfilling weekend. We got exactly that during the day with excellent food, terrific staff and a stunning pool / beach. Unfortunately, I would like to emphasis the 3 nights we experienced at Carda (Room 2272) - Night I - The air condition stopped working at 8pm. We called reception but nobody actually came. The next day we were told that the problem was fixed, just that nobody felt the need to update us. Night II - Guess what ? 8pm again, No air condtioning. Called the desk again, notified me there is nobody available to fix the problem. Eventually, I walked to the front desk in the middle of the night to receive a different room to sleep in, whilst promising me it would be fixed the next day. Day III - The hotel manager blames me that we played with the remote control and therefore it stopped working each night (even though the AC completely died with no indication light on the panel). She also said that next time this happens to take the batteries out of the remote control - but guess what - there is no panel to do so on the remote. She also stated that a technician was in our room, checked it out, and that it works fine. Night III - NO AC AGAIN. A bellboy FINALLY arrived at 12:30 midnight to our room (we had to get up at 5am to reach our flight), went straight to the electrical panel, and rediverted the AC wire to a different circuit. He said that it was intentionally done to make it stop working at night. In conclusion, 3 nights without AC, a technician that didn't fix the problem, a manager that blamed us playing with the remote control which caused the problem (even though it was clearly a malfunction in the electric panel in the room), and worst of all - no compensation what so ever for the 3 (sleepless) nights suffered at Carda Beach.

Neighborhood: Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.

This is a lovely classy bar recently opened and refitted by a young couple in a small street close to Montparnasse station Paris France. It has a lovely ambiance with a really chilled out feel. Try a drink there, we really enjoyed the 'chill out' music after a hard days sight seeing. The owner Julien speaks excellent English and is really proud of his bar, he will even give you a guided tour if you ask of the downstairs area which has been beautifully restored along wih the main bar area. Give it a go it is worth it and is something a bit different to the norm in the area.
