I wandered up and down this street several times during my 4 days in Tours and each time found something new to enjoy. It became a pivotal point in my visit.

Only a 15 minute walk from the train station, Rue National is a broad pedestrian street filled with department stores, shops and cafes. Another short walk gets you to the old section of Tours which gives you a nice contrast between the 21st and 15th...More

All the shops in the one place! A nice 15th century 700 metre long street going from the Place Anatole France to the Pont Wilson.

There is something unusual and magnetic about this wide boulevard with the tram tracks in its center. And overall, Tours is a wonderful town with magnificent churches and an incredible foodie scene!

A great parade of shops with the tram running through. Very similar to Bordeaux. Lots of carparking underground which is reasonably priced compared to the uk. Remember to visit the side streets where some excellent boutiques can be found.

Wide street leading from the town hall to the river. Shops and cafes on the way. At the end there is a library on the right and Ferris wheel on the left. On both sides by the river there are nice riverside cafes.
