We recommend biking along the Loire River - flat trail, lots to see and biking over old bridges and then hanging out in old cities is a lot of fun.

A hanging bridge construction spanning the Loire, freely accessible for cars and bikes. I would recommend, due to its relative narrowness and length, and despite of the French driver's attention, to do it walking if you are riding a bike.

A very interesting bridge which incorporates Gothic arches to support the suspension cables. It almost seems out of place for the area where it is located.

Driving along and suddenly see a large arch. Realisation that this is in fact a bridge. All the years I have been visiting the loire valley and only just found this? Very impressive.

This is one of the more spectacular bridges across the Loire and it happens to be on the route between my 2 favourite cake shops (in Azay-le-Rideau and Langeais)

Very beautiful winter foggy day. So magical over the Loire. Very charming town, with amazing wine and cuisine. You can walk along the river and admire the view and beautiful nature surrounding.

Crossing the Loire between Langeais on the north bank of the Loire with La Chapelle-aux-Naux on the south, this striking suspension bridge carries road traffic across the Loire and was originally constructed in 1849, although subsequently it has been repaired and rebuilt many times, and...More
