We stopped in for dinner because it was recommended in the Rick Steves guide book. We were not disappointed. It's a small restaurant with a co-located museum. There is a fixed menu for dinner (19 euros per person in Oct 2016) which included a sweet...More

Go back to the smell and visuals of something slung together in the 70's. It's aweful. No, it's worse than that. I can't tell you how creepy, the man that greets you. Then it's in to something from the Hammer House of Horrors. You'll get...More

I can only describe this experience as a creepy rip off. The owner takes 4,50 euros per person and shows you into a dingy cellar where broken manakins hang ominously and move like the afflicted. It would be funny if it were not also filthy...More

This place is so terrible it would be laughable except you are charged. Terrible exhibits and rude owner. The wine tasted like vinegar. Do not go. Chinon has so much to offer so steer clear.

Don't be afraid from the outside appearance or the unknown items on the menu! All was amazing & the host, Dede, was delightful & welcoming! The experience was unique but enjoyable. It felt like going to a grandparent's home who wanted to make sure you...More
