It seems strange to have a shop as an attraction but we are pulled back to this place time and time again! The range of gadgets associated with collecting and drinking wine is incredible, many of which I have no idea what to do. Decanters,...More

This shop has an unbelievable range of goods to suit all ages and pockets. We go here every visit and invariable end up buying something. This year was no exception. Much of the goods for sale are food and/or wine related but there are some...More

I have been coming to Burgundy for 28 years and have visited this stylish store every time I have been in Beaune. Over the years it has expanded somewhat, it now has a wonderful section of objets du vin - housing wine glasses, decanters, openers,...More

For those who remember Athenaeum in its prime, it can be slightly disappointing now: more cramped, less well stocked in some areas. However, some categories of items remain excellent - the wine books cover all regions of France and the wider world beyond, the cookery...More

A store for everything wine-related. Not only were they the only store in the city that had any bottles of Frederic Lafarge's stunning Volnay 1er Cru (a 2005 Clos de Chenes), they were also able to find us an incredible reusable six-shipper for us on...More

This was a great place to pick up some cards and interesting souvenirs. I had already reached my limit of books to take back and the books displays and selection were almost too tempting. The wine shop was an nice addition.
