The history of this hospital is an interesting and compelling story. You can choose an audioguide which I highly recommend. Take your time and take some photos. Great for a family outing.

The old hospital of Beaune is a must-see. This had been built centuries ago for the poors and had been in activity til the 50s. The architecture is typical of the area.

We were traveling with a group and the weather was a little iffy - we stopped and really enjoyed out visit. I particularly liked seeing the pharmacy area but many of the rooms have beautiful pieces to see and the ornate tile roof is amazing.

Absolutely well worth a visit to learn of local history and to see the rather lovely surroundings where patients were looked after.

If visiting Beaune this is a must do. The history of the Hospice is integral to the history of Beaune. An amazing man, who wanted to help others, had an amazing vision of how to do it. That vision lasted 500 years, and even today...More

Sometimes whilst travelling you get over visiting another church or another museum. This one however, deserves your attention - besides the historical interest & the fact that it is still an operational nursing home, the accompanying audio guide is probably the best I've heard. The...More
