Outstanding Customer Service
Aug 2020 • Solo
After Covid struck back in March we had to cancel a crossing for a family member from Poole to Jersey. The service and voucher we received was very welcomed.

Yesterday I called the Condor customer services department in Guernsey to make another booking for next week, well, outstanding. I wasn’t rushed, the Gentleman, an ex-RAF serviceman, was professional, friendly and above all detailed. I have never been so pleased to depart with hundreds of pounds!

So, a massive well done to this Gentleman and Condor for keeping their heads and attitudes in the game! Nice job, done well.

Thank you!

Day trip to Jersey
Sep 2019
Our group of travellers from Canada, while staying in Saint-Malo, visited the island of Jersey by travelling on the Condor ferry. The ferry left promptly early in the morning, and arrived in St Helier at the expected time. After spending an enjoyable day touring Jersey, we unfortunately were delayed on our return trip. It turned to be a long day-fortunately the seating and services on board are good, so the comfort helped. Food was adequate, and duty free services were fine.

Timetable delays
Sep 2019 • Couples
We were booked to travel to the uk on the 4th September, on arrival we were given a small bottle of water and a packet of crisps to compensate for an additional two hours crossing time. Upon return which should have been at 12 noon departure, we received an email the afternoon before advising that due to ongoing problems with the fuel pumps the ferry would be leaving at 09:15. Unfortunately this meant that due to our location we had to travel down earlier than expected. Not even a bottle of water was offered on this trip or an apology either. This was only compounded by being informed that repairs had in fact been carried out and we would now arrive early. Customer service completely lacking.

Excellent timing, almost perfect reliability
Sep 2019 • Couples
We have traveled three times on the Rapide and once on Liberation, return journeys. We were delayed on the Liberation however Condor handled it very efficiently and came up trumps.

Otherwise each journey was faultless. I know Condor come in for a lot of stick but I have found them very good. The boats are clean, the staff are polite and professional and indeed helpful.

If you ran your car for as many hours per day as Condor’s vessels I doubt that you would find it that reliable.

By the way there are some good bargains to be found in duty free and the staff in Liberation club lounge very attentive!

Great service
Jul 2019
We used Condor for a few days visit to St Malo from Jersey. Fast, clean, efficient and punctual. Good food and drink on board, comfortable seating with good views out of the windows. Good duty free shop. However keep away from the bureau de change on board, awful rates.

Condor St Malo to Jersey and from Jersey to Poole
Aug 2019 • Family
We went to France via Newhaven to Dieppe. This was good value
Then part 2 of holiday. St Malo to Jersey. Not sure why we had to be there so early (6.30am for 7.30am) especially as the queue moved very slowly but the crossing was good and food at reasonable cost
Our return to England was affected by the impending storm so we were advised the crossing was being brought forward a couple of hours. The vessel was full. We had opted for the Horizon Lounge Well worth the extra money with clear view of the horizon itself so no sea sickness issues. The sea was heavier but okay. Sitting in the car waiting to leave the ferry at Poole you could feel the swell. It is a long route as the ferry also stops in Guernsey
Other reviewers point out that the Condor is less reliable than conventional ferries. That is likely to be true of all the fast ferry routes but with the Channel Is unless you opt for the Portsmouth route there is no choice except flying

A big gamble with your holiday plans
Jul 2019
I recently had a booking on the Condor Liberation. I didn't realise when booking that this vessel has major reliability issues. My crossing to Jersey was delayed three times then cancelled altogether due to "technical issues with the onboard systems". At great expense I had to take a train then a plane to get to Jersey or lose my expensive prepaid hotel booking. When problems occur Condor go into full lockdown - callers are automatically cut off and an autoresponse is set up on their email. Of course they always try to blame the weather but often, as in my case, it is actually problems with the vessel.

I strongly advise those considering using this service to check the weather forecast and the recent sailing updates to check for disruptions before booking and not to book non-refundable hotels until you are 100% sure your crossing will take place.

Also, please take into account that relying on this service for your holiday plans is a major gamble.

Car parking at Ferry Terminal, St.Malo
Jul 2019 • Friends
A word of warning to anyone using the pay parking at Condor & Brittany Ferries terminal in St.Malo. 20 minutes is free, after that you pay the full day rate of €17.40!!
I stopped there to accompany passengers to check in and returned after 50mins. Has to pay €17.40 for the privilege.

Very impressed

I’m amazed at the skills of the crew on Condor Liberation in loading everyone so quickly and efficiently. I’ve been on this ferry around 30 times now and it has always been punctual and the staff extraordinarily helpful.
