Belfry dating from the end of 15th century. Rising to a height of 30 metres at the parapet walkway, the tower was gifted its largest bell in 1507 by the Duchess Anne. Wooden staircases provide access as far as the parapet walk from where there...More

As an addict of clock towers, I find this one of the most interesting. Frankly, there was not a lot compelling in Dinan -- it is nice yet not exactly thrilling -- yet if you are there by all means see the clock tower and...More

On a beautiful warm sunny morning we paid our 4€ to climb the tower to see the view. The receptionist was polite, but I thought that as we were the first visitors of the day she could have been a little more welcoming. However, it...More

During the visit within Dinan old city walls, there is no chance to escape watching the clock tower, a beautiful example of nice architecture.

Went here in October on a cloudy, dreary, misty day. The steps can be exhausting; it is not suited for anyone with a physical disability. The view this day was limited and the site was overrated.

After being woken up by the bell of the tower, we decided to se what the noise was about. A short but interesting climb up the stairs. The view from the top was amazing.

It's a long climb up rickety and narrow stairs, and you do get a lovely view of the surrounding town and countryside, but not worth the price of admission.

The tour de l'Horlage involves a climb up a series of steps which ends with a very steep short stairway. I climbed up in the late afternoon and had a splendid view of the city. It gives a good overview of the city and there...More
