There are a lot of steps involved, so may not be for everyone, but I really enjoyed the walk up and the wonderful views. We were there when the clock tower actually rang and I think I may have lost a few years off my life I was so startled (not having paid any attention to the time.) Highly recommend doing for the views and seeing the structure from the inside.…

A great view is to be had from the top and if the bells strike they make you jump. Good climb up over the old stone stairs then a wooden staircase to the top. This is a truly amazing structure. An informative video is shown halfway up with English sub titles. The old German clock is still in the base of the tower pity it’s not still in operation. …

We visited the La Tour de l'Horloge on a recent visit to Dinan. I really enjoyed our visit, the views from the top are excellent. I thought initially the 4 Euro entrance fee per person was a little steep for climbing the 158 steps but do not let this put you off, the views are worth it. Even though you know the bell is going to strike every 15 minutes it will still make you jump. The last ladder to the top is very steep, visitors with low mobility may struggle.…
