Situated across the river from the main castle entry to this curious single tower construction is free - but requires physical mobility to tackle the stairs. Inside is a display of the history of Brest with some interesting reproductions of early documents but what makes...More

Beautiful place with and amazing view to the port, if you go to Brest in the 14 of July, here is a good place to see the fireworks.

I went to the Castle of Brest before I visited this tower (and I recommend it this way!) What this tower presents is complemented by what the Castle of Brest (Navy's museum) has, so both are a must in my opinion. There is no admission...More

The tower is one of very few old buildings that survived in Brest. It looks quite picturesque from the castle and from the bridge. It houses 3 floors of photos, plans and very funny models of Brest in old times. Look at the figures of...More

I don't speak French, and the exhibit seemed a bit outdated. But, if you are a historian, or just happen to LOVE Brest and it's founding (and you speak French) then you will probably enjoy it. It is small, but the surrounding grounds and proximity...More

The tower was closed when I tried to visit on a January afternoon, but offered little appeal as a view point. The castle across the harbour can be seen much more easily from the bridge above the tower or from an observation walkway about a...More

First, the collection of dioramas is lovely. However, no photo is allowed inside so it was a pity... Also we were hoping we could view the castle from the upper floor of the tower but all the windows are closed so another shame. Good thing...More
