This place was very interesting to visit. The guide was excellent! I don't know if they guide in English as well though, I had the French version (but I'm French so all good)

Had the weather been better, we'd planned on an excursion to the mountains; but since it was cloudy & drizzly, we opted instead to visit St. Jean de Luz. This was one of places we toured - a very interesting experience with a local guide...More

We had an excellent local guide who took us through this interesting place and provided great insight into how the richer folks lived well back in the 1660s when Louis XIV traveled here to wed his young bride. The inside is fascinating & our guide...More

Located in the main square, Louis XIV's house is an interesting building to see. On Sundays, you can enjoy the music of a local Basque orchestra in this plaza.

This is an exceptionally beautiful and architecturally interesting building, which functions as city hall for the town. It is located on a beautiful square with shading trees and bars. A must see!

No photos were allowed inside, nor were there postcards available as a substitute of the more interesting sights. The commentary/description was all in French. We were given English sheets to see what was going on (only sufficient to share) and it was clear there was...More

Very interesting and nicely presented. Visit was highly regimented and we were hurried out of the building by the guide. Would have liked to wander back around the rooms after listening to the explanation.
