We bought our tickets when we bought those for Font Du Guame. The ticket system is a first come first served and all who are doing the tour must be in attendance. We were fortunate to be here in the off season and only three...More

To think the drawings, sculptures and painting in these caves are over 20,000 years old is something else. Great guides, informative and educational. Has to be seen.

We bought our tickets while visiting Font de Gaume and they were for 2:15 . There were 5 in our English tour. You will get real close to the engravings and it will last about an hour. This cave is well presented but very narrow....More

Even though we had to wait 2 hours in the cold rain (we were numbers 7 and 8); we were able to get tickets to both Font-de-Gaume and Combarelles in English. Both tours were well done. Our guide at Combarelles was truly outstanding! She was...More

As with Font de Gaume, you have to arrive early at the ticket office if you want to visit this place. There are only about 30 people allowed in per day, so even more restricted the Font de Gaume. We had a great tour guide,...More

Usually these tickets are gone pretty early in the day, as the quantity is very limited. This is done in order to protect the conditions of the cave, so it's a very good reason. Out of luck, we managed to get tickets at 11 for...More

We were visiting the local caves and liked the look of this restaurant having checked reviews on line. This proved to be a good choice and one of our most enjoyable lunches during our recent break in the Dordoyne area. The food and service was...More

We were visiting the local caves and our research online showed this restaurant as a good prospect. It certainly was. From the amazing food to sharing our time with the owners 2 dogs that were impeccably behaved but real characters, to the chef coming out...More

We visited Les Combarelles after Font de Gaume. Both were excellent but if I had to only visit one it would be Combarelles. Our guide, Stephanie was the best guide we have had. She took the time to explain the engravings, making sure everyone had...More

The guide showed us many engravings of animals : bears , lions , female figures, horses, mammoths etc. Marvellouslly executed and jumping out at certain angles of light but not visible at other angles. Unexpected and magical . A real link to artists and hunters...More

Lascaux II is a copy, the others are originals... for the time being. Will you regret not visiting the originals in 20 years time when they have been replaced by copies, like Lascaux II?
