La Fleche, how the locals call it, is a bell tower built separately adjacent to the St. Michel Basilica in a beautiful Gothic style. It's located more in downtown and closer to the river than the other Pey-Berland belfry of St. Andrew Church. But, it...More

The tower looks magnificent from a distance as it dominates the square in front of the Basilique. Closer inspection revealed a less appealing side. Graffiti, litter, discarded cans and bottles, rough sleepers and an unpleasant human/urine stench dominate the base. Disappointingly fouled historic monument. Don't...More

When we arrived outside the bell tower there was a strong smell of urine. The tower costs €5 to climb, don’t bother its a waste of time and money. Granted the view is nice but you can only go 47m up.

Worth the money and climb to the top. Great views of the town and river. Plan on the trip on a clear day.

Although it is an interesting monument, I find it to be extermely dirty, inside and around it. This is one area of Bordeaux that I would avoid day time and specially night time.

This great spire (The Arrow) can be seen from many of the approaches to Bordeaux. it costs €5 tto climb and is worth the effort for the views of the city. The square beneath is sometimes a bustling market, sometimes a place of quiet contemplation...More

I went on Tuesday at 3:00 pm and went up the 220 easily but I do stairs daily. What is nice besides the low entry fee is the 3 major levels to take in the views, the bells and the spire. I suggest going on...More
