I enjoy the architecture and history of europe. The clock tower was definitely worth seeing. It was located along a walking tour I planned out from various books on Bordeuax as well as recommendations from TripAdvisor.

A beautiful clock tower in Bordeaux. Great place to stop by and grab some photos. Doesn't require a lot of time, probably 5 minutes or less. One of the best photo stops in the area.

Worth walking the streets of Bordeaux to take in the churches and gateways. The Cloche is particularly good. Quite a dominating appearance.

Spetacular gateway is part of a historic tower restored and rebuilt in the nineteenth century. Elaborately decorated clock faces on both sides topped by a massive bell.

The bell towe and clock is impressive and can be found easily by strolling to the west of Bordeaux, however we could not find whether there was the possibility of going up to the tower or not. On the west side of the tower is...More

The Grosse Cloche used to be part of a much larger Entrance to the city and at some point even hosted a prison. A very cool way to see the Bell Tower is actually to visit the Parking Garage a little further down the road...More

I love the design of it and was happy I was able to see it once I found it. Most natives didn't even know where it was, but there are some that do. It's just one of those hidden treasures.

It took us a while to find it - but when you finally catch sight of it - it can catch your breath. Particularly beautiful with illuminations at night. There are many restaurants nearby.

It's located a little off the beaten path but worth seeing. There are some quaint shops around. Worth the walk.

An over the top gateway with clock and bell. It's been cleaned in recent years and is all the better for it.

I'm afraid I've only visited it as a tourist and have no technical knowledge of it whatsoever. I guess that's likely to be largely the case on this web site. I suggest you look online to find your answer. Google's always a... More
