A brilliant example of the bridge builders art. Large and impressive structure which towers above the river. Best way to see it is from the river itself.

Bridge that joins Germany and France. Road, tram and pedestrian bridge. You can stand with a foot in each country.

Amazing to have a bridge between two countries. It's only for pedestrians and cyclists too! There are a lovely spot in the middle where you can look down the Rhine and get a photo.

A good looking bridge by modern standards, but an amazing amount of engineering for two footpaths, it is a main link from Kehl in Germany to France for pedestrians and if you are lucky they hold markets on the french riverbank.

I discovered this opportunity to cross the bridge on foot many years ago when I wanted to walk across the Rhine from Strasbourg, France for the first time. I knew that the bridge crossing experience here wouldn't be anything like what I experienced in Amsterdam,...More

Indeed, there's nothing more to it. But you can cross it on foot, and in 10min max, you can say that you have left France and entered Germany. I found it really spectacular, just to think about it. It is a bit out of town,...More
