The museum is part of the 3 for 1 offer and although well presented and spacious it lacks the really 'must see' paintings. Rather heavy on rennaisance religous works and rather dull landscapes; so if you like them.....

Nice enough. Audio tour is very poor - barely covers anything. We were disappointed o see so many paintings not kept from the oppressive heat. Seemed like a small collection, but there was an upstairs section that was apparently not open to the public.

It is a museum with a very rich painting collection. You have there from evry important period some masterpices. The only problem was, there was no air-condition and at 35 degree Celsius, to visit this museum is painful!

I must begin by stating as I have elsewhere that the best art collection in Strasbourg is in the Musee de l'Oeuvre Notre Dame, the collection begun to save the best parts of the cathedral from destruction during religious wars, and then supplemented by all...More

All in all it is a nice exhibition, with some interesting information on the way the collection was started and then continued (in FR, EN and GE). UsuallyI don't like art from this period, but this was alright. The rooms were dark and quite cold,...More
