I had high expectations and I'm afraid I was disappointed. There's not much to see. There's little about the artist. And actually quite a lot of the exhibition was dedicated to other people. The artwork that was there was fascinating.

We went in october. In the moment, you will find a lot of funny designs from Tomi Ungerer childhood. Personally, I loved the current exhibition at first floor showing great designs of Jiri Trnka, a well-known czech illustrator (died in 1969).

Tomi Ungerer is a fascinating personailty with many artistic facets - many of them on display in a wonderful old villa close to la Place Broglie.

I wish this museum told us more about the artist; he seemed to be quite a controversial and disturbed figure to me. I really wanted more information on his life and views. Totally loved his childhood drawings - very interesting part of the museum. Found...More

A small but very interesting museum. Toni Ungerer's designs are extremely interesting and enjoyable too!

Even if it does not appear everywhere, the complete name of this museum is "Musée Tomi Ungerer-Centre international de l'illustration" - so you could very well end up (like it happened to us) in a situation where 40% of the visitable area of the museum...More

As a retired children's librarian, I was familiar wit Ungerer's books for children and had seen the film about his erotic drawing, but the surprise here was the collection of his work as a child starting at 4 years old. My favorite was a drawing...More

Great museum of Tony Ungerer, his works are remembered by young and old as he illustrated children's books and satirical posters on the Vietnam War.

Put this on your list. Firstly because of the building and how it has been converted. The displays of the cartoonish are thought-provoking, sometimes scary and occasionally downright offensive - but in a Tom Lehrer way (if you know his genre you willo be bang...More

Even though you maybe not know Tomi Ungerer the museum is interesting and very well positioned and made. It is a modern one but the kids can enjoy it as well. In the "basement" there is a expo for adults as well. I would recommend...More
