Nice enough statue - similar to many around the country. Rather large, easy enough to find near the town hall and worth a moment to stare up at a grumpy Vicky.

As I’ve observed in other reviews every city and large town has a statue of the Queen Empress. None have much artistic merit, she’s hook nosed, glum and not amused. The scale is monumental. Nearly 4 times her actual height, set in a Georgian square...More

This very impressing statue of Queen Victoria is well worth a visit. Set in beautiful gardens, close to Lancaster Town Hall.

Many UK towns have a Victoria statue, and the trick is to get yours to be unique. Lancaster have a had a good go, and whilst not an outstanding example, it is a nice statue.

Lovely monument to have a quick look at if driving by or in the area itself. The bronze work is gorgeous and the plagues give you a sense of the history behind it. Certainly worth a quick look.

This is a statue in a small urban garden. It was good fun with my grandchildren whilst passing a few minutes. The panels have notable worthies from the areas and some are quite surprising. The grandchildren enjoyed looking up the people in the panels as...More

In it's day, it was probably quite notable, but spare a glance and remember the history. I've never seen any winos and find the area a quiet spot a certain times. Avoid at school kicking out times as many students can congregate here. It is...More

Sadly although the idea of commemorating Queen Victoria was a good one in days of old with nice benches and grassy areas for the public to admire and rest... This site has fallen in disrepute and lacking as an attraction site for visitors to Lancaster......More
