We were lucky because the day was bright and cold so the reflections in the dark still water were something to behold, the walk was easy and beside the City there were many things to see.

Luna’s River Channel, o good place for a walk all days but specialy in weekend. Mixt of modern and old ! Nice view of the Castel and Maritim Museum!

Try walking from the Wagon and horses in Lancaster along the Lune to the aquaduct then after walking the aquaduct return along the canal to The White Cross pub in Lancaster.

The canal is very quiet with very few boats going up and down. I am not sure where you would hire a kayak from but the canal is certainly suitable.
