The property is only open on Saturday, and not all the house is open due to it being tenanted. The car park is a short walk up a steepish country lane, although there are a few disabled spaces outside the property. The building is magnificent,...More

We visited Stoneacre on a recent Saturday because we're National Trust members and try to visit all their places - this one's not often open so we grabbed our chance. The website says it just does tea and cakes but when we got there we...More

This is a hidden little gem! A beautiful historic house, a charming garden and an excellent tea room where we had a scrumptious quiche, lovely lemonade and nearly lethal chocolate cake. All homemade! Overall impression: Not big and loud, but peaceful, beautiful and full of...More

I suspected the Stoneacre property and grounds was going to be small before I visited but it did not disappoint in its beauty! I chose a great sunny day to check it out and couldn't believe how beautiful the little winding garden areas were and...More

What a lovely surprise when we got to the gate of Stoneacre. Ahead of us was a fabulous, mostly medieval, yeoman's house surrounded by a delightful May garden that was colourful, lush and fragrant. The room guides were knowledgeable and the history of the house...More

As NT members we always make a point of visiting properties in the area and this crosses another one off the list.
