A visit to the Manor Park at Great Linford gives a flavour of the 18th Century fashion for shaping the landscape. Its style and elegance have survived to this day, but the park is also full of attractions for modern-day visitors. In July 2016 we secured a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to carry out development work for our project to Revive, Reveal and Restore Great Linford Manor Park.

This is one of my favourite walks around MK, using the canal to guide you along. The festivals and other events that are held here are also worth looking out for.

One of my favorite places to walk in Milton Keynes along the canal and next to historical buildings. In every season there are different things to see.

Enter by the Manor House and please yourself which way you want to walk along by the canal or in the woods, fields. End up at the local pub "The Nags Head" for good pub grub..

Am I biased, probably because I lived overlooking St Andrews church, the Alms houses, Manor house & Courtyard workshops for a number of years. Loads of room for the kids to play, or fish in the canal, feed the ducks, or you can visit the...More

A pleasant and `old English` setting with well maintained parkland and interesting buildings in a traditional setting (with the added benefit of a very good traditional pub nearby).

Linford Manor Park is a really sweet little park. The canal runs along side it and there are old almshouses that are now used as small craft centres. Saint Andrews church is also in the park and this is very old and well worth a...More

Linford Manor, (or Great Linford Manor), is a seventeenth century manor house which, along with the parkland surrounding it, was 'saved' from decay, demolition and becoming yet another housing estate, by the original 'founding fathers' of Milton Keynes. Since the mid 1990's it's been owned...More

A great place to stroll about, just a shame about the amount of dogs off lead, owners should be a bit more responsible and appreciate that not everyone wants dogs running up to them, it would be better to have a 'free-run' fenced dog playpark...More

Great place to walk the dog. If you live in Milton keynes it's worth a visit. If you like music you will enjoy the waterside festival that is held every year over a weekend in June.

This is a beautiful part of Milton Keynes near to the canal, and Great Linford. There are some very old buildings, like Almshouses with information boards with historical facts. The paths are level and suitable for buggies and wheel chair users, making it a popular...More
