We visited on the Monday before we were due to come home. Unfortunately we did not allow enough time to look round the whole site, which was a shame as it was really interesting. The tile displays, particularly the ones associated with butchers shops reminded...More

The tile painting does not require paying entrance to the museum. Tiles are charged at a very reasonable rate, you are not rushed and staff are knowledgeable, helpful, encouraging and attentive! FULL MARKS!!! However... take a picnic!!! The cafe is either understaffed or staffed with...More

Excellent. Really enjoyed this visit, some absolutely beautiful tiles that told a story. Spent much longer here than intended. We bought a multi ticket for various locations so not sure of prices etc.

I found the museum to be more interesting than expected. I think this is down to the range of tiles on display, the historical information and the fact that you are in the old tile factory, and get to visit the room in which tiles...More

Just one word tells it all .....'fantastic'. I could not suggest that you could elsewhere find a more comprehensive display of tiles of a wide variety of types and patterns, many of which are in exhibits that excellently display typical, original end uses. A tile...More

A triumph of Victorian (and earlier) technology, this museum tells the tale of some beautiful tiles that have travelled all over the world. I particularly liked the recreations of original interiors e.g. the bar and the butchers' shop. My favourite of the IGMT museums.

Some lovely exhibits here, but no guides on hand to ask questions, the place was very quiet as we visited in January, Cafe has only one gluten free cake option so avoid stopping off there to eat
