You probably know us as a lovely place for children to see the animals, run around in beautiful countryside and let off steam in our state-of-the-art play barn - but there's a lot more to Sacrewell. With the help of £1.4 million from the Heritage Lottery Fund, our 18th century water mill is being transformed into a national centre for milling excellence - take a tour and find out how your great-grandparents got their daily bread. Foodies can also join a tractor trip around the fields of our tenant farmers Riverford Organic Farms (it's on our land). Then there's our wildlife trail, scavenger hunt and two new rambles - if you're lucky, you'll see the rare red kites and brown hares. Seasonal events range from our Lamb National to ploughing with vintage tractors. In our 50th year as a charity dedicated to agricultural education, we continue to welcome students of all ages who want to learn traditional skills and get an insight into rural life. We hope that all our visitors not only have a great day out but feel they've learned something too.

Visited the farm with my husband, daughter and granddaughter, and had a super day out. Friendly animals, my granddaughter likes to feed them. Pleasant walks and build your own den area. Altogether a very full day out. Would definitely recommend a visit.

The park is dedicated to the history of farming and milling with animals for the children to see and pet, plus a restored watermill and many other interesting items

Visiting in 80 degree heat was probably not a great idea but I still found it poor value for money. I can appreciate that the animals were hiding from the sun, but there are still very few of them. And the new tractor area looked...More

Great day out for my grandson who's 18 months, animals and soft play perfect!! Everything was accessible for toddlers and the animals were a really good mix and he could get up close too.

We took our two year old, she loved running around and seeing all the animals. Lots to look at, we probably didn’t take full advantage of all the walks due to having the peak and a fussy toddler but will go back when she’s older....More

As an annual pass holder with two young children, I visit fairly often but not as much as I used to, as I feel it’s going downhill and the prices are being hiked up without really seeing improvements. The entire toddler area in the PlayBarn...More

I'm sorry I don't have any experience with power wheelchairs so it would be hard for me to comment. There is a slope to the field of that is useful?

Hi Lynda, so sorry I have only just seen this. Yes we are, we're about six miles south of Stamford. I think the easiest way to get to us from Spalding is to take the A15 to Peterborough and then the A47 towards Leicester.
