Stopped off here on route to Leenane, due to the torrential rain it wasn't the most picturesque. I'm sure in the summer it would be both easier to access as it was so muddy and the pathway would be more accessible.

Easily viewed from the scenic R335 just after you navigate the top end of Killary Fjord (heading north), Aasleagh Falls are well worth a stop. Parking is in short supply with space on the side of the road for just a few vehicles: need to...More

Between Kylemore and Westport, on the lovley Wild Atlantic Way in central Connemara, the charming Aasleagh falls is located. Aasleagh falls is not a very big sight, even though it is beautiful, it is not spectacular or very exciting, but the nature around Aasleagh falls...More

Upon arrival I was thoroughly impressed by the ample parking facilities. Unfortunately however, I was not forewarned of the impending danger ahead of me. The waterfall was less of a spectacle but more of a life threatening fiasco which left me scarred emotionally and physically....More

The falls are a really pretty place to visit. You can also walk alongside them and get in quite close to the water. Plenty of good viewing points and a free car park at the top. No facilities here at all which is the only...More

We passed by here on our drive to Galway. It is a beautiful place to stop and take in the scenery. The falls while not particularly tall are stunning. Also on a good day you can find fishermen casting flies into the water.

Wasn't expecting much when I visited the falls. The falls aren't much to look at but we got some good photos anyway. Visit if you are visiting clifden for the first time.

If you're driving from Galway, go towards Leenuan. Just a couple kilometers from the Leenane Hotel and easily accessible from the road. A short walk is rewarded with beautiful sights of waterfalls and salmon jumping!
