    A beautiful park
St. Stephens Green is a beautiful park in Dublin. There are water features and walking paths, along with signs about the Irish revolution in the early 20th century. My wife and I also saw multiple statues.

A beautiful oasis of green in the heart of Dublin.
We stayed in Dublin for 4 nights and 5 days in mid-May, 2023. This park was in between our B&B and the city center, so we visited and walked through it every day. Very beautiful fresh air temporary escape from the madness of Dublin... we did enjoy the city but this place is wonderful. Ancient trees, birds and other wildlife abound here. The story of the Irish revolution against United Kingdom in 1916 is told in many plaques and statues located throughout the park. The battles were fought right here in the park and surrounding streets in 1916. The walking paths meander all around the park in several directions. On one side is a lake with plentiful waterfowl swimming about. There are plenty of benches located all over the park if you wish to sit and admire the surroundings or read a book. We loved this park!!

Pleasant place to relax after sightseeing or shopping
First visit to Dublin but very impressed with my walk around here. A nice place for a walk with plenty of places to relax whether on the grass or a shaded bench with a sandwich for lunch. Lots of gulls and pigeons though! Children’s play area and areas of water with wildfowl. Colourful flower beds. Relaxing after the hustle and bustle of the city.

    Historic and restful
This green is a gem. It's busy with tourists and local workers passing through. It combines history with a breath of fresh air within the bustling city. I've come through it each day of my visit.

    "Must go and see"
I grew up living just around the corner from St. Stephens Green, I've seen the dreary days when the weather is bad (which in Ireland is most of the time) and the times when it is bright and sunny and far too hot. But through it all, St. Stephens has remained and hopefully always will remain a wonderful park. Full of laughing gleeful children running around and playing on the playground to the sound of geese flying down at the pond.

    Very historical park
With a surprising change to the weather we found ourself sitting in the sun in this beautiful park, with what seemed most of Dublin. Empty benches were hard to find. Plenty of statues and sign posts telling about a very important battle that took place there against the English making it s bit more than just a park and part of modern Irish history. Definitely worth a visit if you get the weather.

    A Walk in the Park!
This is a lovely city park! There are flowers, trees, and places for shade or shelter from rain. We saw swans and ducks and lots of people enjoying the green spaces. There is even some Irish history woven in.

    Just relaxing!
It was a lovely day for relaxing after several days doing other Dublin sites. We bought sandwiches nearby b4 going into the park and enjoyed sitting on a bench watching swans, ducks, pigeons and gulls swimming. Lush and green. Only issue we had, we couldn’t find the restrooms or water fountains if they were there.

Beautiful surroundings in middle of a busy city
Visited mid August. Having shopped the day throughout Dublin and visited nearby Stephens Green shopping centre, no visit is complete without a walk through ST Stephens green park. Attention to detail throughout is fantastic. Beautiful bedding schemes, meticulously cared for, manicured lawns lovely ponds and associated wildlife, plenty of walking and sitting options. All in all, one of Irelands best quality FREE attractions. Informative 1916 plaques in set locations throughout park. A very busy location that you most likely will need to find a free grassy patch to sit down on as seats get filled very quickly. Would be a great addition if there were a few coffee stands etc for refreshments in park. Maybe there are, but not just when we visited.

    Beautiful oasis in the city
We whiled away some time after coming in on a red-eye flight because our hotel room wasn't ready yet. The weather was gorgeous and sunny, and this was the perfect place to go as a tired and jet-lagged family. Lovely and green, filled with students, grandmas and little kids. Very serene on a summer's day.

This is a very popular spot especially so it seemed when we visited on a sunny Sunday morning. Easy to see why. It's a beautiful park with spring flowers beginning to emerge. There's a playground, ornamental lake and lots of beautiful birds.
Some of the statues in St Stephen's Green include those of three Irish rebels from various eras - Theobald Wolfe Tone, (leader of the 1798 rebellion); Robert Emmet (executed following The Rising of 1803); and Countess Markiewicz 1956 (sentenced to death, later commuted, for her part in the Easter Rising of 1916). There's also an abstract sculpture of WB Yeats in the Memorial Garden dedicated to the poet.
The park is close to many other Dublin attractions including the National Museum, the National Gallery and Trinity College.

Amazing park, you can barely hear the car and luas when you are inside of it. Quite busy all day long, but it is great to take photos.

St. Stephen's Green is a beautiful park where you can read about its history in the 1916 uprising. I spent a good hour before lunch just walking around enjoying the beautiful scenery.

A lovely peaceful park, with lots of lovely flower beds. It seemed to be a very popular park as it was very busy. On the path way it had a lot of signposts telling you all about the history of the park. Which was very interesting.

It’s a nice park to go for a walk. You can sit down with coffee on a bench or sunbathe on the grass. The only thing I don’t like about is there are too many seagulls so if you bring food be careful because the seagulls might take the food and in the summer it tends to be really crowded.

Quite a good size green for a nice walk. Loads of ducks and birds, but you cannot feed them (warning haha). Would be lovely in the summer. Can get quite busy

A gorgeous spot in the heart of Dublin. History oozes from the Green and you can drink it all in as you wander around the place. A truly lovely and peaceful park only a short walk from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the city.

In the heart of south-central Dublin sits the gorgeous urban park St Stephens Green. I traversed it many times to/from my hotel, the Conrad, just meters away. Here you’ll find people picnicing, birdwatching, hanging out with friends, and simply enjoying life in the slow lane. Great spot for photos. Wheelchair-accessible and clean. Highly recommended!
