We were disappointed to find this closed after receiving a recommendation to visit from a tour guide yesterday. We checked the website for hours of operation and saw nothing about the closure. We saw it posted when we arrived. We should have checked TripAdvisor.

Excellent house in very nice district close to the centre and parks. Guided tour takes you from the cellar to the attic and describe the way of living that tims. Separate bells connected with upstairs rooms would alert tell staff and indicate where to go....More

This house museum in next to Merion Square and the National Museum of Ireland buildings. If you have time, it is definitely worth a visit. A little hard to find as maps are not consistent with the location. Hang in there, you will find it....More

This museum closed to the public on Saturday 20th December 2016. It will remain closed until 2020 while the attached building is being redeveloped by the Museum owners ESB.

there is different ticket prices for OAPS and students.. nothing over 10 euro... it's at 29 Fitzwilliam street lower... at the corner on merrion square
