This is a must do! We were very fortunate to get a last minute cancellation slot after being on the waiting list for our 5 night trip to west cork for the moonlight experience. We did the lough Hyne experience in literally perfect conditions, in our opinion. Not one cloud in the sky, a 3/4 moon and no wind. It was cold, but that did not matter. It was so calm and peaceful and the bioluminescence was everywhere. Cannot recommend this enough!

Hi Gavin , Delighted you enjoyed your trip with us . Both our Reen and Lough Hyne night trips are great and we love to see feed back from our visitors. you were very lucky to have such bioluminescence . It is a memory for us at this stage as we look forward to opening up again soon as the country gets back to some normality ./ Hope we meet another time. Jim Kennedy

Kayaking against the tide here, but myself and my partner found the daytime kayak on lough hyne very boring.. 130 eur for 3.5 hours but we were on the water for less than 2. Couldn't get out to sea as the water was choppy so spent most of the 2 hours watching and listening to the frankly boring guides showing off. Very disappointed as heard a lot about it. They said biolumenence a lot. An awful lot. It pays well. Need more competition here.

H Guys , We are saddened to read that you didn't enjoy your trip with us. We appreciate the feed back and will of course take it on board . We constantly review our trips and try make them the best they can possibly be . Our guides are highly trained and constantly make decisions based on the weather conditions and paddlers abilities We try to cater for all needs and abilities. If you found the guide boring and felt they were showing off then this shocks me. We will review our guide training and see where we went wrong . If you are in the area again we would be delighted to have you join us and we will do our best to give reason to write a better review.

We were incredibly lucky and saw so much bioluminescence! It was so pretty and really worth the money. It’s not often you get to kayak safely at night time but with these tour guides you felt safe. It was an amazing night warm, calm and free from cloud cover so not only did we see bioluminescence but also got to go star gazing. Our tour guides were experienced, informative and funny. We all really enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend this to anyone who is down in west cork and looking for a fun activity to round off the day.

5 stars... we went on the night time kayak in hope of seeing some bioluminescence and we saw loads! It was absolutely magical.. as well as that, our guide Jim was highly informative in historical facts about the local villages and the bioluminescence itself. He was very entertaining too. Totally safe for beginners and still fun for experienced kayakers too.
