    A hidden gem in Cork?
Serene and very interesting hidden gem in Cork. Fascinating historical events explained clearly and fully by James. With a wheel chair companion James ensured we were able to see the full site, enjoy a healthy lunch in the wonderfully sited delicious cafe , & even ordered a taxi for us to return to the hotel! A great visit.
So glad that you had such a lovely visit with us. We are very proud of our Staff here at NNP. Providing a genuine warm welcome and facilitating our visitors to the best of our ability is important. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, so others can benefit

A Museum, Garden, Architectural delight, Restaurant and Place of worshipful contemplation rolled into one!
A unique, beautiful, tranquil oasis in the city. The only museum dedicated to a woman in Ireland. Learn about life in 18th Century Ireland / Cork for the ordinary catholic poor, oppressed and denigrated in their own land. How 1 woman used her privilege to educate and provide for her community in a movement that has since spread through the world. Beautiful setting befitting of a life well lived - but also a life of suffering, sacrifice and selfless service. The Deli serves gorgeous food to boot! A must for visitors to Cork!
Thank you for your eloquent review of our Site. We are so appreciative of the heart felt reviews. We are constantly inspired by Nano's legacy and do our best to keep that alive and connected. We look forward to welcoming you back

    Exceptional Experience
Nano Nagle Place is a magical site located in the heart of Cork City with a beautiful hidden garden, restaurant, and bookstore. It was truly enjoyable. Nano Nagle was a great inspiration and it's worth learning more about her. The place is worth visiting and I am certain that your hearts will be touched as much as mine was. Thank you, Sylwia.

    A special place
We took the guided tour at 3, Gerry was very pleasant and informative and didn’t scrimp on time. It’s amazing how much work has gone into the mueseum. Nano’s life was truly exceptional, given her wealth and connections she could have chosen a different path. A very inspirational story, would highly recommend. All staff were very friendly and helpful which made it a very pleasurable day. Thank you to you all!
Thank you Mary for taking the time to review NNP and sharing your experiences. We take great pride in our wonderful staff and will be sure to share this review with them. So glad that you were inspired by the story of Nano. There is something very relatable about her, and the museum, especially with a guided tour brings her story and the life and times alive. Thank you again for taking the time to review and for enjoying out site.

Cork's best visitor experience. A shining gem in the history of our city.
Nano Nagle place is not only one of the best tours and museums in Cork, but also one of the best historical experiences I have ever undertaken. Growing up in Cork, and being a proud Corkonian, I had a passing knowledge of our history. However, my trip to Nano Eagle place truly gave me a unique insight into one of our county's most influential people. I visited the museum with my very elderly grandmother who has both mobility, and vision issues. The staff could not have been more helpful. We were met at the door by Agnes, an ambassador for the museum. Ambassador is the perfect description of this lady, as she exhibits the kindness, love, and caring nature that Nano Nagle herself exuded. Agnes was fantastic with my grandmother, ensuring she was looked after and every accommodation was made to ensure my grandmother's disabilities were catered for. The centre itself is very accessible for people with additional needs, but the care and consideration the staff showed was second-to-none. The museum is curated excellently and the displays were amazing and extremely informative. The self guided tour is wonderful, but I would highly recommend the guided tour. Agnes's knowledge and storytelling ability really made the whole experience come alive. It was truly one of the greatest tours I have ever been on. The grounds of Nano Nagle Place are truly a magical place. The feeling of peace and serenity as you followed the footsteps of Nano Nagle is an experience every person should try. The beautiful gardens and contemplative areas give you a sense of peace and joy within nature. The grounds are also free to enter, so I would highly recommend it. Nano Nagle place is the crown of Cork's historical experiences. It is a testament to the staff, who truly love the place, and that really shows. It is also a testament to the tireless work of the Presentation Sisters who are still actively involved. It was a huge achievement to open a location so perfect, and so well organised. I cannot thank everyone at Nano Nagle place enough. I will certainly be returning.
What an eloquent and glowing review. Thank you for taking the time to review our beautiful site. Thank you for receiving the care and attention of our wonderful staff. Thank you for enjoying our Cork oasis. And thank you for describing it so beautifully, so others can know that we are here for everyone and have so much to share with our visitors. We look forward to welcoming you back to NNP.

Powerful museum, and GREAT gift shop
Wonderful and informative museum I had the pleasure of visiting during my few days in cork. I started my morning at Good Day Deli, the lovely cafe at the on-site gardens - a must visit. Met the wonderful museum host, Agnes, in the design shop, who was a delight to chat with. You can tell how proud she is to be a part of such an important piece of Irish history. I hope this review speaks to someone, as this visit was a highlight for me.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I am certain that this review will speak to many. We are very proud of our site and staff. There is an authenticity and genuine desire to share the living legacy of Nano Nagle. We are inspired by her and love to share that with our visitors.

    Beautiful museum and amazing staff!!
Absolutely loved learning about Nano Nagel. The museum is well set up and has both indoor and outdoor spaces. It is worth going just to meet Agnes who is an ambassador of the centre and greeted us, sold us our tickets and gave us info before our tour even started. She is a wonderful and welcoming women and was one of the highlights of our trip to Cork. This museum is a definite must.
Thank you so much for your kind review. Agnes will be delighted, as will all of our dedicated NNP Staff. We like to think that ours is a special place to visit. Open to all and so much to explore; museum, gardens, design and book shops. As well as a myriad of events. We also; have our dynamic social inclusion projects - keeping the work of Nano alive and well in the 21st Century.

    Truly amazing visit!
This was truly the highlight of our trip to Cork. I can’t really add a great deal more to the wonderful reviews that have already been written, only to emphasise that this is a ‘must see’ visit. Nano Nagle was a truly remarkable person and Agnes (our ambassador) was so informative and kind to us on our tour that by the end of our visit we felt that we were all part of her family. The exhibits and displays were all first class and this museum fully deserves to be near the top of the rankings on Trip Advisor.
Thank you Stephen for taking the time to share your experience of NNP. We pride ourselves on embodying the core values of Nano, which begins with a warm welcome and ensuring that our visitors have the best possible experience here. To leave the sight inspired is a lofty aim, but one we are all committed to. We are so proud of our Staff, who demonstrate a genuine warmth to our visitors and passion for sharing the history of this remarkable site.

    Hidden Cork City Gem.
My husband and I went to the Nano Nangle centre on the last day of our annual leave. The whole experience was surreal. We were greeted by Paul who was very welcoming. The star of the show however was Agnes , our tour guide. Her passion and enthusiasm were contagious. We were completely humbled by the whole experience. Her knowledge and empathy was incredible. Her knowledge of Nano Nangle and the centre was incredible. We cannot recommend highly enough a visit to the centre.
Thank you so much for your review. A wonderful testament to the site and the staff, that not only bring Nano's story to life, but also embody her legacy. So glad that you had a lovely last with us and for taking the time to share this and inspiring others to visit NNP.

A hidden gem and 100% worth seeing! ✨️
Simply put - wonderful museum ! A hidden gem 💎, beautiful grounds, lots of history , fabulous museum. Restaurant, gift shop and fabulous staff. Met Ger at reception and wowed us with so many facts and information about Nano Nagle , a passion for history certainly evident and from all the friendly staff we met including Mary who also regaled us with lots of fabulous interesting things about the area and local history. 100% worth popping by and learning about a woman who was well ahead of her time to help those less fortunate get an opportunity to be educated during a tough time in Irish society. A fantastic visit !
Thank you so much for this lovely review. It makes such a difference to the staff, who put so much genuine care and consideration into their roles To get such glowing feedback is heartening and very much appreciated. Thank you again for taking the time and for appreciating our precious site.

The Musuem has an excellent presentation on the work that Nago Nagle did at a time of terrible discrimination against the Catholic poor in the 18th century. We didn’t visit the cafe as it was too busy. There’s an excellent bookshop at the entrance to the Musuem but the gift shop downstairs at the main entrance has no connection to Nano Nagle at all

Enkudu - A very good morning. Thanks for the 5 STARs and the lovely review. You'll be glad to know that we are conscious that the main shop at the front doesn't have nearly enough of a Nano or heritage presence. We are looking to redesign of the space to facilitate this - by brining some of the museum graphics and messaging etc. down to the shop. We are also looking at more historic and contemporary community work interpretation across the wider 3 acres. A slow burner here but do watch this space. Do come and see us (and Good Day Deli) again. Kind regards, Shane Clarke, CEO

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic experience at the Nano Nagle Place. Some people spend a few hours, we spent the whole day!

We were warmly welcomed by Agnes O'Sullivan, a fantastic woman at the main reception. Her passion and enthusiasm really set us u for what we were about to see. Part of the whole experience is talking to this special lady. She is a fantastic ambassador. We loved listening to Agnes' podcast in the airport on the way home.

We listened to who Nano Nagle was, visited the museum, became members and did a little book shopping spree to read more about this place. After the museum we visited Nano Nagle's tomb and took our time to embrace the atmosphere. Don't forget to find the small door on the tomb! Neither of us are religious but there is certainly something spiritual when you touch the venerated Nano Nagle. The weather was so fantastic that we had lunch in the gardens (delicious organic food) and played connect 4 that was provided by the museum. It's amazing how this place brings many people together, we connected with several individuals throughout the day. On our way out we also got a fantastic sustainable leather bag, made of recycled leather from a Spanish lady. The museum shop is really great and has something for everyone's taste. Just as we were getting ready to pay, we met Sister Mary, a sister who worked as a teacher in the exact same building that is now the main reception. She was so kind and told us a little more about her experience as a nun and what she loved the most in her life there. We discussed the concept of altruism and she is truly a beautiful lady who has dedicated her life to educating others. Education is the key to empowerment. It was so special to meet someone who truly reflects the spirit of Nano Nagle. We would love to come back to Cork and, especially, Nano Nagle Place. This is a place where nobody is judged and people are empowered to reach their full potential. Thanks you are for the work you have done, it's so touching and leaves a full heart of joy.

Here is to many generations of female empowerment which last a legacy.

Following a glowing review from a family member, I realised on my first (but not last!) visit, that this hidden oasis is one of those “must–see” finds that you are keen to recommend to friends & family the minute you leave.

Shortly before arriving, I met an enthusiastic local on their way there to eat “in one of the best places to have brunch in Cork City” i.e. the sustainable garden terrace café, Good Day Deli, set in the beautiful gardens of Nano Nagle Place. She strongly advised allowing ample time to enjoy all the different aspects of our destination. This time, I managed coffee & cake (delicious!) and spent time in the state of the art interactive museum (thumbs up for the current exhibitions too!), the delightful design & gift and book shops (plenty of local & Irish made products stocked) and the graveyard & tomb of Nano Nagle and surrounding grounds complete with beautiful contemporary features.. such tranquillity!

The welcoming staff & ambassadors (a special thanks to Agnes!) have a genuine passion for their place of work and are eager to share their wealth of knowledge be it on its historical past, current social projects which still take place here and further afield, events, etc..

It is such a breath of fresh air to come across somewhere where every element of any visitor’s experience has been carefully considered and it seems, they have plenty of plans for the future too! Nano Nagle Place is a beautiful showcase of her legacy which lives on in such capable hands. I look forward to exploring the rest of it and seeing upcoming exhibitions on future visits to Cork City!

Nano Nagle place was a revelation that opened our eyes to the life and actions of a formidable and courageous Irish woman! What Nano did has left a lasting, long term impact and influence not only in Ireland but all over the world.

The museum was very informative and insightful of the history and Nano’s life.

The garden was serene and beautiful, an oasis of peace, as though one has entered a different world! What’s more, it is dominated by local, wild flora, which makes it sympathetic and kind to the environment and climate. More of this is needed!

We can clearly see the passion for Nano Nagle and the Presentation Sisters in the people running the place, giving us a lovely experience and insight into a real life hero!

Points to note - only the museum is ticketed, the visitor centre and gardens are free!

It’s a must visit and we’ll definitely be coming back 😀!

We had a wonderful visit to this place, which we knew nothing about before arriving in Cork. Staff member Agnes gave us such a warm, heartfelt welcome and instead of a quick visit we ended up spending several hours there and having lunch at the wonderful restaurant. The story of Nano Nagle is inspiring for people of all faiths and none - and we will never forget our visit. Thank you especially to Agnes and the other staff members. Would recommend to anyone visiting Cork.

This is a lovely heritage centre, beautifully laid out and very informative. Well worth a visit to learn about this fascinating pioneer in promoting and providing education for the poor in general and for girls in particular. There is also a café in the centre with an excellent reputation but unfortunately we did not get a chance to enjoy as it was completely booked out when we arrived.

Beautiful oasis in the heart of the busy city.
Me and my partner stumbled into Nano Nagle Experience and decided to go in, not really knowing what to expect.
We were greeted by the wonderful Agnes whose kindness and warmth made us feel extremely welcome.
The museum taught us so much about Ireland’s history as well as the incredible woman Nano was. The gardens and graveyard are peaceful, beautiful and a lovely place to meditate.
We saw Agnes at the end again and had a long chat with her about Nano. We will never forget her passion, knowledge and kindness. We hope to visit Nano Nagle experience and Agnes again in the future.
Agnes epitomises all that is beautiful of Irish people: their kindness and warmth. She made our 13 day trip to Ireland much more special and one that we will never forget.

Thank you,
Diana and Paul

My visit was due to a friends suggestion and I am so glad that I listened to her. I found this lovely oasis to be so peaceful and as far away from the hectic pace of a city as you can imagine. A special thank you to Agnes who was so kind. You can see that she cares deeply about the history of Nano Naglle and about letting everyone know her story. I left there feeling like I was meant to make that visit. Highly recommended.

A wonderful spot, a tranquil oasis hidden in the middle of the city. The Nano Nagle story is a fascinating one, and the museum is well worth a visit. Don’t forget to book in to the Good Day Deli before you explore the place. Some of the best food to be found in Cork! The shops are charming and great if you’re looking to pick up a souvenir, some local art, or a wonderful gift for a loved one. Highly recommend!

My husband, 2 children and I visited Nano Nagle place last week. We had heard great things but we were truly blown away by how impressive this little gem in Cork was. There is so much history here, both is how the museum presents its history and in the energy of the building and gardens that hum with stories to be told. Agnes gave us such a warm welcome and was incredibly informative. She should be an ambassador for Cork - a wonderful lady! Our children were very kindly given books and colouring pencils, lovely mementoes of Cork. Agnes even went to the trouble of asking Thomas in the archive to dig out any possible records of my father's attendance at school there. Records were found! She contacted me by telephone to tell me about it - I will be back with my father very soon! Could not recommend highly enough. A truly special place. Lunch in the cafe was superb, topping off a wonderful visit.
