Iolaire sails twice daily from Iona at 9.45am or1.45pm OR from Fionnphort at 10am or 2pm. The trip lasts 3 hours and you can get on or off at Fionnphort or Iona. The Iolaire is a brown wooden boat and returns to Fionnphort first at 1pm or 5pm and then to Iona 10 minutes later. The sea journey takes 45 minutes and en route a wide variety of sea life may be observed. Once at Staffa a commentary is given and Fingal's Cave can be seen from the Iolaire. Passengers are landed weather permitted and given at lease one hour ashore which allows time to walk into Fingal's Cave or up the ladders to see the puffins when they are in season. There is always something exciting to see and the crew will be happy to welcome you on board the Iolaire.

Chatty and informative crew member, pointed out birdlife and porpoise, took us on a 'wee trip' round Staffa as we did not land.

We had an amazing trip with Staffa Trips. They know the waters and the islands, and the wildlife was amazing too! With dolphins racing beside the boat and puffins coming in to see us silly humans all waiting with cameras, a brilliant day. Can't thank...More

As someone who has always been skeptical about signing up for group excursions, I was a little worried about doing this one, but it was fantastic and deserves all the rave reviews from the locals and tourists too. We went in the afternoon, and booked...More

We don't often have Golden Eagles mentioned on the Staffa Trip but they can be spotted on Mull and Archie is good at pointing these things out on the way down to Fionnphort. Thanks for coming with Staffa Trips to see the puffins too and...More

We don’t often do tours on Sunday or Monday as the ferries from Oban are at inconvenient times to make it work well. Glad it was just what you required this time and the fantastic weather helps make it all possible. Archie enjoyed it too.

Highly recommend this trip - stunning scenery - we saw a whale, dolphins and variety of seabirds off the ferry and Fingals cave is unique. Great close up views of puffins. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Hugely recommended. John (captain) and Gordon (puffin expert and second on the boat) were knowledgable and interesting. Sublime scenery and waters with time enough to watch puffins for an hour and see fingals cave. Loved it.
