This small garden behind the Festival Theatre in Pitlochry is well worth a visit. It is laid out with plants to represent various areas of the world that explorers have visited over the last few centuries. A great way to spend an hour or so.More

We walked through this amazing garden being tended by groups of volunteers digging and pruning and willing to answer any questions we had. It was well laid out zig zagging up and down a hill. They had great signage describing which explorer had contributed and...More

Visited here in April, after a long winter, when there had not been a lot of growth. The garden is in a great location just above the theatre and therefore ample car parking. We shall definitely revisit in the summer when hopefully there will be...More

This was our first visit to these gardens and although the weather was a bit gloomy and Autumn is probably not the best time to view we found many areas of interest and peaceful surroundings.More

Because when we visited the last time parking was free I assumed it was still the same. The pay point was obscured by a van and there were no signs advising that it was a pay and display park. I only found out when I...More

We're sorry you had this experience. It's so very odd, and we can't imagine how this could happen. We have a large car park right outside the door here at Pitlochry Festival Theatre, both for theatre-goers and visitors to the Explorer's Garden immediately behind the...More

Visited twice in one week - once on the guided tour and then, again, to read/photograph the plaques about the Scottish Planthunters. The red squirrel(s) even graced us with a showing. Terrific garden to visit - and no muddy paths to worry about.
