On the way down south we stopped for a break in Pitlochry and discovered the garden of discoverers. What a beautiful walk that takes you through various continents. I am not an expert on plants, but I liked to read about the lives of those...More

We visit the explorers' garden a couple of times a year and have always had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The layout is simple insofar as each zone reflects plant species from differing parts of the world and provides some detail about the various "explorers" who...More

It was a nice walk around the gardens but were disappointed that most of the plants were not labelled. At times we didn’t even know which ‘country’ we were looking at. If the plants were all identified i’m sure it would be a great garden...More

This small garden behind the Festival Theatre in Pitlochry is well worth a visit. It is laid out with plants to represent various areas of the world that explorers have visited over the last few centuries. A great way to spend an hour or so.More

Good afternoon and thank you for your review. Yes, the wonderful 6-acre woodland, Explorers' Garden is looking so colourful right now. And with so much to see - specialist features, art installations, wildlife, as well as the Scottish Plant Hunters' exotic discoveries. Then there are...More

We walked through this amazing garden being tended by groups of volunteers digging and pruning and willing to answer any questions we had. It was well laid out zig zagging up and down a hill. They had great signage describing which explorer had contributed and...More

Visited here in April, after a long winter, when there had not been a lot of growth. The garden is in a great location just above the theatre and therefore ample car parking. We shall definitely revisit in the summer when hopefully there will be...More
