Very nice run from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh. If you get a sunny day it has superb views, and you may spot rabbits, deer, buzzards and if you are very lucky maybe even an eagle. So do you read or do you look out...More

All on time and comfortable. I bit of consistency with refreshments would help.We were hold one way that there was no refreshments and there, was but on the way back there was none. If we had known we would have purchased a drink at Kyle

This is a must do attraction. You don't have to travel all the way. Try just an hour and stop at, say, Achnasheen, returning 90 minutes later. The train is comfortable and the scenery fantastic as you trundle along past Plockton Harbour, Loch Carron etc....More

Remote Duirinish for lovely, quiet walks, coast, inland and woodlands. Handy for going shopping from Plockton as Kyle has a good Co-op....More

Probably one of the most scenic railway routes in the UK. A must for anyone who likes travelling by train.

Despite it raining there are some stunning views along this line so it is well worth a ride. If it had been nice we would have looked round more and maybe even gone to the Isle of Skye
