Nestled next to a river this old ruin has some beautiful sight to see. We were there just after 10:00 in the morning and what a surprise to hear and see the Jacobite express steam roller by - wished we could have gone on it...More

We stopped here for a quick look around on our Outlander tour. The castle is definitely a ruin, and there isn't much left, so it won't take long.

Quite informal to wander through and round and on the banks of Loch Linnie. Quite good views of Ben Nevis in the distance. There is a footbridge and train line accross to the other bank and, if you time your visit right, you can see...More

Had a brief stop here on our way north, on what was luckily a very warm and sunny day. Not much here for a long visit, but nevertheless interesting to see what remains of the castle with information points available to tell you about it....More

Visited this castle with our tour group. It is a free, small and nice castle. With good timing we also saw the Harry porter train going through the bridge at the back of the castle.

A place worth seeing if you are going past it. Fairly complete outside walls give you an idea of how it used to look. Information points scatttered around give you the basics.

The ruin of this old castle is worth visiting. This place is not overcrowded and it is nice to walk around. There is no entrance fee, no toilets around. A car park is nearby.

A nice place to visit with family as it takes about 10 minutes to wander around. There are some useful sign boards giving facts and pictures too. There is parking for about 4 cars right outside, but people come and go quickly. There are no...More

Very enjoyable small walk around the grounds of the castle ruins. Very pretty area on loch with some of the history displayed to describe the original structure.
