Good atmosphere, service and fab acts. Drinks not overly expensive. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Would return (from Carlisle).

My partner and I visited Swing on Saturday the 29th of February for our anniversary. We had heard about the place but didn’t know what to expect. We had booked a table beforehand and from the minute we entered to the minute we left we had a great night. We didn’t know what to expect paying £10 per person for the table but it was more than worth the money. The entertainment was fantastic and I would encourage anyone looking for a fun night in Glasgow to go along and try. Hats off to the staff as well who were amazing.

Really looking forward to hearing the jazz tonight. Our first visit to club. Marianne McGregor was singing and playing and it was such a shame we could hardly hear her with so much loud talking going on. The manager didn’t even have the curtesy to introduce her. A big disappointment in set up,but not in the singer

Ok so first of all when you pay ÂŁ20 for a seat you might expect to be able to see the performances - and that the staff would guide people standing to not block the view. You also might expect some respect for the performance as opposed to loud chatter over it. But if you have low expectations in these areas then fine

Excellent venue and entertainment in the heart of Glasgow. An amazing quirky Swing Band called the Background Sounds Collective mashing up many favourite songs challenging the revellers to get up on their hind legs to join the party.

Fabulous night of entertainment in this gorgeous, intimate space in the heart of Glasgow! Every aspect of the decoration, quality of the entertainment and the attentive staff are overlooked by Craig, the owner - you can just tell when someone is passionate about what they are doing and he's got it all just right! The entertainment was was just perfect, great voice and funny too! Had a great time and will be back - loads !

Mainly a jazz club, Thursday nights are given over to a very good blues jam. Local musicians gather to take turns with the house band. The atmosphere is that of a london basement speakeasy, really cosy and inviting with night club tables and soft lighting. Great feel for blues or jazz
Bar prices are not cheap but in keeping with most clubs as opposed to pubs. Situated at the top of Hope St. On the left near junction with Bath St.,Swing is the perfect place for an evening of good music.

As it says in the title. Great show, great music.
Manager very brusque and showed very poor customer service removing bar staff mid order... drinks poured, money not exchanged...I order to harangue him for whatever.
Staff did say the manager was an issue!

Its a New York 30's night club right from a black and white movie. Brilliant Jazz blues singers, bands and the variety act the night we went was brilliant . the things that girl could do with Hula hoops!! Our ages ranged from 25 to 70 and everybody loved the quality of the acts the great staff and very warm welcome. Not to be missed!!! Gets busy so get there early or book seats on line.

hi thinking of going to swing but was wondering if it is disabled friendly as my wife is disabled

Hi. I must firstly mention how the very friendly staff would assist you in any way they could to make your evening perfect, however.......
The entrance consists of a dark narrow-ish hallway leading to stairs, which is where, in my view, you would have your initial difficulty, depending upon what type of disability your Wife has.
Once at the top of the stairs and entering the actual venue, again, it is a very tight fit consisting of flat surface which leads (towards the right hand side) to the top area of the venue. Towards the left hand side, again there are steps for seats right at the stage.
One other difficulty you may have is the toilet facilities for the ladies (don't know about the males). It is a tiny space and very dusky mood lighting. If eyesight is a concern, then this is really quite a major problem in my view. I likened it to my Mother's very poor site at the time I was there, which means my perception was that my Mother would have not been able to see anything whilst within the ladies toilets. This is an area I feel really does need attention.
If it were me and I was disabled with eyesight problems or wheelchair requirements, as much as I loved this venue, I would have to have a dry run of the venue when it was not open to ensure I had the assistance I would require without being embarrassed on the night.
I do hope this helps and if you do go, you will love it.
