Very happy with the food, the beer was great, and the price was very reasonable. Right after we left a huge brass band started playing in the venue. Very happy to find this place by chance! The Steak and ale pie was gorgeous, a classic,...More

A solid place to grab lunch and a pint of beer or ale in a trendy area. No pretense at Blackfriars, which had a very wide variety of local ales and beers. Our bartender was more than happy to let us sample them at our...More

Not only does this place serve the best ale, they have the best staff also. Chatty, cheery, and fighting over who serves you first! A fantastic place to enjoy a few beers, or gin, or whatever takes your fancy.

Went in for a drink last night. Despite being busy, service was efficient and friendly. Local pub feel, with live music advertised. Did not stay for long as last drink of the night. Would revisit if in the area.
