Went to visit but it was closed despite their website saying it should be open. Many others arrived too and were disappointed. Different opening hours stated on door and seems not open at weekends so not much of an attraction to tourists

Absolutely braw place to visit great sense of time gone by how life and times have changed think on to how fortunate we are now great for the kids

So named because of its distinctive coloured stonework, the church was built to a French design in the 19th century. Now a centre for folk history, it has many fine exhibits and reconstructions of a Cooperage workshop (barrel making) and living accommodation in Victorian times....More

It would seem to make sense to amalgamate this place with Campbeltown museum - and even then, to be honest, there wouldn't be a huge amount there. There are a lot of interesting ruins and remains in Kintyre, but they're mostly scattered around the peninsula...More

Displays and exhibits explain a good amount of information about Campbeltown and its development over the years. Lovely homemade cakes on offer. Free entry. (£2.50 for tea and cake.)

Just the place to go when the weather has changed for the worse and not difficult to find just off the main street......entry fee was by donation and we did this on entry and again on exit.....the building is also a venue for music/concert evenings.....all...More
