The Downpatrick and County Down Railway runs through the drumlin countryside of County Down - St. Patrick's Country - over the River Quoile and under the graceful Down Cathedral. With a mix of steam and diesel trains, and vintage carriages, there's plenty for train fans of all ages - from wee kids to "big kids". Run by volunteers, society membership entitles you to free travel.

This was an Easter Bunny train day and was really well organised. Great value with unlimited train rides and a quality egg. The dining car is showing its age but hopefully a replacement is inbound. Thoroughly recommended!

Hi Jennifer, we cannot offer midweek charters at the moment, however check out the Groups Visit and Venue Hire page at the main downrail website (afraid Tripadvisor won't allow direct links so you'll need to google it)
