As a beautiful old church ruin and graveyard, it makes for a lovely walk and place to explore with kids. We googled it beforehand so we knew a little about the history, and my two little ones really enjoyed exploring!!!

This is quietly tucked away as you go out of town. More people should appreciate this little gem a friary. Mostly to upset the golfers who look most put out by your existence.

Free access (open all the time) is through part of Ballycastle golf course, but is clear. Once you are in there are explanatory boards. There are no cloister remains - on the side that remains it is marked as domestic buildings. But the church is...More

It's something you could easily miss. Parking is very small and looks like part of a golf course. Walk beside the green and over the wall on the right. Mostly gravestones And a nice ruined church. Unfortunately a fair amount of drink cans and bottles...More

This 16th century friary has lots of history and stories to keep buffs busy, as well as being a really cool place to visit. See the Black Nun's grave and headstone. Also ghost stories. Lots of old headstones dating as far back as 1500. Sorley...More
