About
If, somehow, amazingly, you've managed not to hear about the bar at the Fitzwilliam Hotel Belfast yet, oh boy, are you in for a pleasant surprise. We've put a lot of thought into the design and layout of this incredible bar and we think you'll love it. Copper-clad lighting, glimpse windows, real crystal glasses and as you'd expect at the Fitzwilliam, our wine list has a twist: Almost every wine and champagne is available by the glass. An ultra-chic home to the city's great and good the atmosphere is lively and warm: Come in, come in and sit down. Join us for a cocktail made by that magician behind the bar. Hungry? Tuck in. This could be Manhattan. But it's not. It's the heart of Belfast.

We had a meal in the bar at the Fitzwilliam Hotel at the end of December. We had to wait a short while for a table and waited in a lounge area on the opposite side from the bar area. It was very cold and unpleasant even though there was a fire at one end. Luckily we didn't have long to wait.

I ordered the chickpea and cauliflower curry which did not contain a single chickpea and only one tiny piece of cauliflower! My son loved his burger and my husband enjoyed his chicken. Sadly not a good place to go if you are a vegetarian or vegan.

We had a delicious Portuguese wine.

There are a few mistakes in the food and wine menus.

The staff was pleasant and efficient but to be honest overall we weren't that impressed and won't be back.

Paid £80 (for two) for what was a disappointing and rather bland substitute for a festive afternoon tea, with the content of which not being worth anywhere near £80. Furthermore they had the audacity to add an £8 service fee to the bill, without any authorisation. I'd suggest and know you'd find better elsewhere in Belfast.

A quick meal after a long flight turned into a culinary delight. Understandably quiet in mid afternoon we had the best meal. Straight up the best fish and chips in years with tender flaky crust and haddock I actually liked. Ceasar salad… perfect and the big surprise was the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Sooooo good.
Great service, nice ambiance we would eat here again.

We went for festive afternoon tea after some Christmas shopping. The actual afternoon tea was lovely but there was no atmosphere at all. The tea was served in the restaurant but there was very little effort to make it feel warm and welcoming and it definitely didn’t feel like a special Christmas tea. It would also have been nice to have had our Prosecco or wine when we wanted it rather than having to order it before the tea. It then was served around the same time as the food and was warm by the time we actually wanted to drink it.

Had a great couple of nights having a cocktail in the Bar. The. Service was quick and professional and the martini’s perfect. Great vibe and ambiance. Great place to drop in even if not staying at the Fitzwilliam!

This is now a number of times we have enjoyed a meal in Fitzwilliam. The prices are good for a luxury setting. The Bar Meal menu is very good and the seating area with the booths along the wall are very comfortable. Convenient for Grand Opera House and Train Station. The lobby area in the Fitzwilliam is one of the best in the City for relaxing with comfortable seating.

I like having a drink in the lobby bar as the main bar is normally very busy with loud music playing which makes it difficult to chat. Worth a pre or post theatre visit but I wouldn’t spend the entire evening there.

Excellent service and very high quality food without having to charge a premium. A million times better than any other hotel bar in Belfast and due to work I have seen most of not all !

It would be incorrect not to to the acknowledge Fitzwilliam Hotel Belfast and to commend the staff highly upon my arrival after a lengthy days of touring the Emerald Isle. First the porter's were amazing working as a team to expedite luggage to my clients rooms, I was offered a private booth in the extremely relaxing bar to enjoy a first class evening meal in peace. I wish to mention the two bar members of the staff Beth and Victoria, who impressed me greatly with their professional service and attention.
A truly high end hotel with immaculate rooms with piped soft music welcoming you as you turn the key. Recommended in every way.
Thank you.
