    Saturday morning
A perfect way to spend a rainy, Saturday morning. Grab some food, coffee / tea, then dessert as you stroll the stalls. Many line up for the bap sandwiches in the stall in the front where most of the food stalls are located. We never tasted it since we didn’t want to wait so long in line. There was a shorter line at the stand also offering baps, in the back where fish and produce stalls are located.

    Interesting place, bring your appetite!
This was a very nice indoor market in the city. It was easy to get to via Uber. I was there on a Sunday and there were food vendors, craft vendors, jewelers, bakers, fish mongers, painters, and textile artisans. It was nice to see authentic products/craftsmanship. I had a savory crepe, which was delicious. There is something for everyone. There were dogs, so I assume they welcome our furry friends.

    Continuing history into the future
The original 1888 open-air market was smaller than the current enclosed building. Originally the enclosure allowed sales of butter and eggs. Now there is a huge variety of goods sold. Fresh fish, pastries, meats, and meals at numerous restaurants. Clothes, artwork, antiques and bric-brac. Great fun.

    Amazing choice
Lovely building seeped in history with lovely vendors. So much choice of food and crafts. It's so busy, it's hard to remember what you've seen and what you haven't haha. Would love to go back.

    Great spot for breakfast
A very good market, ideal for breakfast while you look around. The Belfast Bap stall looked to have excellent fare, but we didn’t try it. We did have breakfast from Sandra’s grill, which was great value and tasty. Our hotel (10 minutes walk away) wanted £17 per head for breakfast, so we tried the market and had a great fry from Sandra’s for under half that. Lots of other interesting stalls: clothes, art, bits and bobs. A couple of excellent baked goods stalls too. Definitely worth a visit.

    An awesome market
What a great place. Our Airbnb owner suggested we visit here. We arrived quite late as the market shuts at three on the day we were there, we arrived just after lunchtime. The market was busy but not to busy there are great food stalls and crafty stalls.

Al Parmesano Food Booth in St. George's Market is a Must-Have
We unfortunately arrived to St. George's Market one hour before it closes on a Saturday. Amazing finds at this market, the booths of wares are fantastic. We had lunch there and decided on Al Parmesano, my husband and I each had the "Cheesy Creamy King Prawns and Mussels Linguini." This is to-die-for! We both stated this is probably the best pasta we have ever had. Pasta cooked to perfection. The art of the cooking is amazing and fun to watch, i.e. they scrape fresh parmesan cheese, right from the cheese wheel (for lack of a better/proper term), placing the fresh pasta on top of the cheese wheel, mixing the seafood, the pasta, and the freshly-scraped parmesan together. My mouth waters just remembering it. Absolutely try this if you go to St. George's Market. We went back the next day and got the same meals as takeout.

    Fantastic market
What an awesome market, have your choice of food for Sunday brunch here or get your fresh fruit, veggies, meat or fish for the week here. Need a gift for someone, we’ll they have it all… hats, pictures, potter, leather goods, jewellery and crafts the choice is immense and the quality premium. Very little tack here which is always a problem with some markets. Spent a good 2.5 hours eating, mooching and boosting the Irish economy. On a Sunday street parking is also free which is a bonus - easy parking about 2-3 roads past the market on the left, so less than a 5 min walk away.

A great find on our weekend visit to Belfast
Lovely market! Amazing on a Saturday and Sunday when they have food stalls. So much delicious food available that we couldn’t decide what to have! A massive variety of hot and cold food along with sweet treats. One not to miss if you’re in Belfast for the weekend. In addition, some great art was available for purchase. We wished we had bought a bigger suitcase!!!

    A great visit
We came on a Saturday so it was very busy, but we still managed to find a table and get a good meal. There is a fair wait for the vendors as everything is made fresh, but it’s definitely worthwhile and wasn’t unbearable. The breakfast bap stall near the little seating area was fantastic and definitely worth the long line. The fresh juices and smoothies were also really good. It is more of a goods market than a food market, as at least two-thirds of the stalls were selling souvenirs and homewares.

Whether you’re a local or just spending a weekend in Belfast, St. George’s Market is a great option for something to do on a Sunday. The market is open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, but I’d say it’s a particularly good option on Sundays when Belfast is relatively empty and quiet.

There are plenty of terrific food options such as a Belfast Bap, seafood chowder, and mini pancakes topped with Nutella. There are also lots of interesting vendors selling antiques, handmade items, and sweets. You could easily spend an hour or two here eating great food and enjoying the atmosphere.

I love St. George's market. Now I know it is nowhere near as big or as varied as some European or larger city markets but it has a great vibe to it, especially on a Saturday. So many options for food and you could spend a day working your way around. If you can pay cash if the stall asks! There are so many quirky stalls and stories to be told. Take your time in it.

A nice stop off if you're ever wandering by. St Georges Market is an eclectic mix of fresh produce, quirky stalls and outlets selling all manner of goods. There are plenty of food stalls to cater for your edible needs. The market is a great place to recharge while doing some shopping in the most traditional market you could hope to find.

We came the morning of Good Friday around 9:30 and everything was in full swing. We loved talking to the artists and the coffee was great. Looked like the food was good too. So glad we stopped in.

We popped in on Good Friday and loved it. Interesting g stalls ranging from fish to jewellery to art. Lots of things to browse and the atmosphere with live music was great. Great choice of food vendors. I had seafood chowder and then some Dutch pancakes.

The market is only open Friday, Sat & Sun, so plan your visit. There is a stall for every age from freshly baked bread & cakes to sweets & trinkets to antiques, paintings & an abundance of fast food/drink stalls.

When we visited on Sunday there was a young male group playing Irish songs which had the audience captivated, they were really good & added another air of vibrancy to the already good atmosphere, within east walking distance of the city centre & well worth a visit!

Our visit to St. George's Market was delightful but unfortunately brief. Arriving about 30 minutes before closing, we quickly realized that our time was limited to explore everything this bustling market had to offer.

Despite our time constraint, we thoroughly enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere and the bustling energy of the market. The stalls were filled with a diverse array of goods, from fresh produce and artisanal crafts to mouthwatering food stalls from around the world.

One highlight of our visit was discovering the stall selling poffertjes, a Dutch delicacy akin to miniature pancakes. These delectable treats were piping hot and topped with a generous dusting of powdered sugar, caramel and Nutella making for a deliciously indulgent snack that we couldn't resist.

While we were unable to fully explore all the stalls at the market, we appreciated the brief glimpse into the lively and eclectic mix of vendors. The atmosphere was infectious, and we left feeling satisfied with our experience.

Wonderful market that is truly an arts, crafts and street food market. There was so much too see and it wasn’t a tourist trap as people said they see familiar faces there, so we stood out as being visitors. Go hungry!! I’d eaten before visiting so missed out on trying some of the wonderful food. Lovely original arts and crafts too.

Excellent local markets showing off some of the finest handcrafted goods in Belfast. We had lunch at the Belfast Bap Co - it did not disappoint, we didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day!
