- Scott AEssex, United Kingdom46 contributionsNice marketNice market with a very nice atmosphere. There was some live music which is very different for a market. There were plenty of stalls selling goods as well as food and drink, nice for a Sunday morning/afternoon walk about.Visited February 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten February 19, 2023
- robwwLondon, United Kingdom461 contributionsBusy, lively interesting indoor market. This is a busy lively indoor market, with many antiques / food / arts crafts stalls. Very interesting and worth a walk around. Food options from cake to breakfast, chowder to paella. Friendly stallholders and full of locals too. A great history here.Visited March 2023Traveled with friendsWritten March 5, 2023
- Roi GTel Aviv, Israel150 contributionsGreat Market with Something for Everyone! We went on the more antique- based day of the two (I have forgotten what day of the week to my chagrin). We bought various items from at least 5 stands (including - jewelery, houseware, kitchenware, food, banknotes..), and stopped at various others. A very real market feel in a beautiful building. Very easy to get to from the center. Go!Visited June 2022Traveled as a coupleWritten March 27, 2023
- Sunny47 contributionsLove itExcellent last standing Victorian market. Great place to wander around at the weekend. Lots of food, crafts and live music. There are some high quality products available. Ollie's stall are particularly amazing.Visited March 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten April 3, 2023
- Sharon M33 contributionsGreat place to spoil yourself and buy gifts.....We popped in without much interest as so many places of this type have been a great letdown in the past ....... Not this market ! Plenty of stalls with different merchandise . Lots of stalls selling food, including a lady selling cakes mainly vegan ; delicious. Crafts including paintings including an artist selling fabulous paintings of pheasants and such . A stall selling tea towels of local interest , many jewellery stall and couple of bric and brac stalls. There was live music which set a nice scene . We came away with much and will certainly be contacting some of the stall holders to buy from them in the future.Visited April 2023Written April 3, 2023
- JAT77Birmingham, United Kingdom654 contributionsDefinitely worth a visitLovely atmosphere with live music and lots of different food choices. Belfast baps, breakfast sandwiches on soda bread / potato bread or baps, paella, pancakes to name just a few. If in Belfast Friday, Saturday or Sunday then it’s a great place to spend an hour or so.Visited April 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten April 10, 2023
- TheLondonGirl93London, United Kingdom17 contributionsGreat WeekendTook a visit here on a Saturday morning before we left Belfast. The place is a great visit but due to the food stalls that cook while they are there it was very smokey in places which made it a little difficult to breathe at times. It was a great mix of different stalls. some selling baked goods, hot food & some selling handmade gifts & antiques I would recommended it for a quick visit while in BelfastVisited April 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten April 11, 2023

- MellaNorfolk, United Kingdom5 contributionsSomething for everyoneGreat market. Don't go with expectations just enjoy it for what it is and what is available. Good selection of local food, produce and craft. Live music. Great atmosphere. Some seating and standing areas to eat. Dog friendly.Visited April 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten April 15, 2023
- provence9715 contributionsSaturday morningA perfect way to spend a rainy, Saturday morning. Grab some food, coffee / tea, then dessert as you stroll the stalls. Many line up for the bap sandwiches in the stall in the front where most of the food stalls are located. We never tasted it since we didn’t want to wait so long in line. There was a shorter line at the stand also offering baps, in the back where fish and produce stalls are located.Visited April 2023Traveled with friendsWritten May 2, 2023

Buzzing, just buzzing and it was so vibrant with everything from delicious food to local crafts and extremely funny local cards, tee shirts and socks for all occasions.
Live music on the Sunday lunchtime when we visited.

Lovely market! Amazing on a Saturday and Sunday when they have food stalls. So much delicious food available that we couldn’t decide what to have! A massive variety of hot and cold food along with sweet treats. One not to miss if you’re in Belfast for the weekend.
In addition, some great art was available for purchase. We wished we had bought a bigger suitcase!!!

After Hop on hop off we walked 5 (long) blocks from city center. TripAdvisor says it closes at 3 on Friday, the door of the market said 2pm. We got sandwiches from “Sizzle and Bun” and found a bench. We waited for HOHO for about 10 min (SE corner where May St meets Verner St.

What an awesome market, have your choice of food for Sunday brunch here or get your fresh fruit, veggies, meat or fish for the week here.
Need a gift for someone, we’ll they have it all… hats, pictures, potter, leather goods, jewellery and crafts the choice is immense and the quality premium. Very little tack here which is always a problem with some markets.
Spent a good 2.5 hours eating, mooching and boosting the Irish economy.
On a Sunday street parking is also free which is a bonus - easy parking about 2-3 roads past the market on the left, so less than a 5 min walk away.

When will the public toilets open in St George’s Market. We travel 100 miles to visit the market and like to start with a Belfast Bap breakfast and coffee.

Belfast City Council have not yet announced when the toilets in St Georges market will open, the market itself is to reopen on the 3rd of July. Public toilets in Custom House square which is nearby have already reopened

I didn’t go to the restaurant but frankly, I found the bake-stations and food booths phenomenal. Def a great touch of character and culture in there.
