If you are in Belfast - don't miss Robinsons!
Brilliant pub with a very friendly welcome. An excellent pint of Guinness. Lovely 'Bistro' restaurant upstairs offering both a great 'pre theatre' menu and also a fuller one. Reasonably priced (delicious in the case of the Malbec) wine. The food was very tasty and the service excellent (on both occasions). Highly recommended!

    Made To Feel Welcomed!
While visiting Belfast, I was craving Irish Stew and I found it here. I walked in on a very busy Friday night and I asked the bartender if I can sit anywhere and he replied yes, if a table is empty, take it. Being that is was busy and all tables were occupied, I proceeded to walk out, but he stopped me and let me know I could eat at the bar. He was very friendly, and proceeded to hand me a menu. The service was very quick and friendly, and the food tasted great! I greatly appreciate the friendly welcome!

    Paula is the best
I met up with some old work colleagues this evening. I'd already been out with my Dad elsewhere for dinner. (He's 81 and fabulous). Obviously he came along too, yay. I could not praise the staff highly enough in Robinsons, particularly Paula who was so kind and welcoming. Robinsons you have a gem!

    Shocked
Love this place. Visit most times I'm in town. Very disappointed to hear bad language from one of the barstaff. Call me a prud, but the f word being used in front of visitors from outside of NI, was embarrassing. It wasn't just once either, it was during conversations with numerous customers and while speaking loudly to his colleagues.

    Traditional Irish Pub
Another busy traditional Irish pub. Great atmosphere and where it is generally slightly easier to get a drink than in the connected Fibber Magee, which is always extremely busy. Well worth a visit

Not the most welcoming…. But adequate.
A huge pub , place a bit like a tardis ! Adequately furnished and comfortable but found the barman less than welcoming …. Seemed to find his job a bit of a slog when I asked for my tipple! TBH a smile and a “ hello , welcome to Belfast “ wouldn’t go a miss ! Also _Drink prices a bit steep. Better more welcoming pubs in the vicinity . Won’t hurry back!

Walked in straight from the bus station when we arrived in Belfast. No warm welcome. Drinks quite pricey. Nice place though.

Nice pub and enjoyed the authentic Irish music that was playing in the side room with a bar. There are screens showing football if you’re interested.

Quiet Sunday afternoon drink together after exploring Belfast. The bar man who served us was incredibly rude and non-welcoming.
The place gave old man pub vibes and wouldn’t recommend for groups of females during the day as feel judged by all the male regulars sat around the bar when trying to order a drink.

Nice and friendly young man serving at the bar.
Food decent for price and quality.
Toilets. An absolute disgrace.
The toilets smell so bad that the back part of the dining room, that includes the fireplace area and tables across the room, can smell them. I used them but the smell was like being in a porta-loo. An absolutely awful smell that needs to be addressed; especially if offering food in the area.

You have to go to Robinson’s pub, opposite The Europa, if you visit Belfast. I already left a review but because all of the staff are so welcoming and friendly I missed a few names out that I want to mention here.As you walk through Robinson’s to the back you’ll find yourself in Fibber Magee’s.This is where the live band’s perform every night from 9:30pm onwards. If you happen to see a young lady with blonde hair on the doors her name is Caoimhe, pronounced Keeva, and then there’s James or Hayley that could well be serving you your drinks in Fibber’s.Also Paula one of the managers, these are a few more staff members I didn’t mention in my last review.Treat all the staff at Robinson’s and Fibber Magee’s with the respect they deserve and they’ll make sure you have a great night. They really are the most welcoming bunch of people you’ll meet out on the town in Belfast.Check out the restaurant on the first floor and the pool room on the top floor. There’s a lounge at basement level too but I didn’t get the chance to see that.Maybe next time.Just enjoy yourselves and be good…

Have been in this bar many times and the experience is deteriorating. Just had a real stinker of an experience. Rude barman, no manners, no sense of welcome, no conversation, pure grumpy, even dropped the wine bottles on the counter, no mention of the cost, no offer of a receipt and no thank you. Big ignorant lump. Management needs to look at these characters, but he could be the manager!!! This is not the behaviour for a so called welcoming bar. Standards are slipping. Avoid this place if you are a tourist expecting reasonable standards
