I leave this review after sending the below as an email twice and have received no reply.
My family visited Colin Glen for the Black Bull Run last weekend. I wanted to send you an email with feedback.
While we enjoyed our experience, there are a number of things that could've been better. We found the road entrance without any issue but after parking, we didn't know whether to go uphill or downhill. A sign for 'Top Station' meant nothing to us so we went downhill. Only when we met other people at the bottom were we told that the Bull Run was at the top. Better signage would be useful.
On exiting the park, the barrier would not go up and we had no idea that we needed a code or where we would get one. After reversing back down the windy road, a girl came along in her car. We presume she was a member of staff as she 'knew the code' so let us out. We still don't know what we were supposed to do if she hadn't come along.
However, my main issue was with how one of your staff spoke to my child.
At the end of our runs, my son wanted to show me something on a cart that was sitting on the tarmac. When he went over to it, one of the staff shouted at him, "Stop, step away from that!". He was stunned, as was I. I appreciate that it was for safety but there were so many other ways that she could have addressed him politely, especially as he was only pointing at something.
I have thought about this since and my child has questioned me so many times about what he did to be shouted at like that. I didn't want to upset him any further at the time by responding but I would like this brought to the attention of the staff member so that she might understand the effect of shouting at a child. It is unacceptable.

Recently booked for a group of us for the zipline and black bull run and the whole experience was brilliant. Felt very safe with the staff on the zip line and they were very encouraging to any who were scared. Black bull run was great too and staff there were so helpful also, great day out, would deffo return!

Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout and we had a brilliant day with great weather and even better views! I would go back tomorrow if I could :) Fair play to the staff who were pulling people off the zipline at the end too.. that takes strength! Zipline and Driving Range I couldn't get over how amazing they were and right on our doorstep in a beautiful area. Thank you for a great day!

Brilliant activities with wonderful views and lovely staff

My family and I came up on a monday to do zips and the black bull run and the staff were more than welcoming and so lovely and chatty. They made my little brother feel more relax as he was feeling nervous about going down the zip line, they were more than professional too when explaining all of the safety briefs and Lucy, Hannah ,and Keri were brilliant, they were playful and chatty with my younger brothers and were very friendly and great at what they were doing. The manager Alanna was also very chatty and was welcoming too, very helpful when I was feeling ill (As i was feeling ill due to an illness and not any activities). The harness were very comfortable too, they’re like seats to sit on whilst going down the zip line and the black bull run carts are also very comfortable whilst going down the track.
Overall the experience was amazing, all the staff were very lovely and it was lovely to have a fun activity to do outside.

What a great day out! We did the black bull run and zipline package which were great fun, definitely worth the drive. From the moment we arrived all of the staff were fantastic, very information and safety conscious, though I have to give a special shoutout to Emma, such a pleasant, helpful instructor, nothing was too much trouble, she even helped me find my lost phone!
The rain did little to dampen our spirits, we had a great time and would highly recommend a visit.

Went to Colin Glen with my husband and 11 year old son. We pre booked the black bull run and zip wire (mountain adventure package) . I was so nervous but actually ended up doing zip wire which was definitely my favorite part . Both are great family fun but I felt the whole place really lacked atmosphere. None of our group members interacted and the staff tried to talk but it was all a bit of a rush . Very understaffed and communication between was not great . However we all enjoyed our time here and would recommend. I'm actually hoping to book their longest zip wire which is apparently Irelands biggest zip wire.

Hi planning to visit Colin Glen but we have no car. We are staying in Belfast city centre. Is there a bus which goes there or any idea how much would taxi cost??

Hi,
The main forest park building is on the Glider route from the city centre westbound.
So easy to get to for the trails, skytrek etc.
However our zip lines and black bull run are based at our mountain entrance. So if arriving by public transport, you may need to walk through the forest park to the mountain entrance. Which can be a 20min walk.
Costs for a private taxi from the city centre to our mountain entrance could range from £10-£15
Do you need to book the gruffalo trail? Also, would it be suitable terrain for a pram?

What is the distance between the River Entrance & the Mountain Entrance? Is it walkable? Can you drive a car between the two? Want to book activities & want to get the timing correct.

Hi, I'm planning a visit with my 2 & 4 year old and possibly my sister who is disabled (uses crutches can't walk long distances) is the walk suitable for people with walking difficulties? The official website says 20min walk which would be fine as long is it's not along hills etc

im not sure how suitable it would be for crutches. you might encounter problems cos its not a smooth surface. uneven in parts
