Billy & Value Cabs Belfast was THE highlight of our 9 days on the Emerald Isle – If I could have ordered up from the universe a specific driver, a knowledgeable and charismatic guide, a crazy route, and an itinerary in which we saw not just everything we wanted to see, but a whole slew of off the beaten path places – I would have 100% picked Billy at Value Cabs for our *gasp* 9-hour adventure on 2 October 2023. It was the first time in Northern Ireland for my husband and me, and we only had one full day to see as much as possible. I knew that the Gobbins Cliff walk was not possible (annual safety and maintenance checks), so I had ambitiously set the following itinerary: Belfast => Carrickfergus Castle => Dark Hedges (just for a walk through) => Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge (buy your tickets in advance, and you cannot cross if you’re part of a large tour group) => Giant’s Causeway => Dunluce Castle => Belfast. What we got was this and SO much more! Billy took us around to breathtaking views, lots of Game of Thrones locations (I’m a huge fan) - including climbing around a cave and balancing on stairs emerging from the sea, neat sculptures, murals, and a view of the Titanic museum (we had no desire to go in) and the port. He gave us loads of history (including showing us personal pictures of old Belfast during the Troubles), played excellent music (yes, we were all singing), bantered with us and gave us exactly the right amount of time at each location. He saved us lots of money (not only because Value Cabs will charge per hour and you can go wherever you like, but also because he knew where to park, how to direct us on our foot journeys, and what sights – like the Giants Causeway – will charge you for entrance to the visitor center, while it is free to simply walk down the hill and explore on your own). We cannot say enough terrific things about our day with this marvelous chef-turned driver/guide. Heck, he even introduced us to Prawn Cocktail “Taytos” (sounds awful, but actually quite yummy), and when he realized that we were more focused on seeing things rather than stopping for a long lunch, he gave us half of his lunch. He even took us to three venues at the end of our tour where we would be able to find an excellent dinner and traditional music, which we did! And for this budget minded traveler, it is worth noting that this day cost us more than 100 pounds less than the equivalent at Black Cabs, oh and their communication/dispatch team responded to every query I had day or night. THESE GUYS ARE AWESOME! Thank you Billy – we wish nothing but the best to you, your wife and your three beautiful children!

We have just spent four days in Belfast and was recommended value cabs by a fellow cab company who drove us from the airport. We downloaded the app and used them on four occasions. Three out of the four drivers were really lovely knowledgeable guys telling us the history as we drove around. Would definitely use this company if we return to belfast again. Wish we had a company like this back home

I had an interesting tour during my 3-day stay in Belfast. I was there for the football match between Northern-Ireland and the Netherlands. On the day of the match taxi-driver Jimmy drove me through the history of the 'troubles', and he was in better shape than the players later that evening. He told his stories with passion and gave interesting details about the IRA, Sinn Fein etc. I was specifically impressed when we drove nearby the wall that still devides the catholic and the protestant parts of Belfast. I would highly recommend the tour. Maarten Wijffels, Netherlands

I purposely made a stop over in Belfast for the Black Taxi tour. I was not disappointed. Patrick spent hours going over the rich history of Northern Ireland. I would highly recommend

Fabulous 4 day break in Belfast, but the political tour with Value Cabs was the most important and relevant activity. The driver was very informative and appeared pretty unbiased in his presentation of the history to the troubles; very good value for money and a 'must do' if you want to understand some of the important history.
The biggest frustration is the any form of long term resolution or mutual tolerance appears less obtainable than I believed before the tour.

I simply can’t say enough good things about this tour! Our family went on a cruise and we stopped into Belfast. This trip was the first we have taken with both our teenage daughter and our 18 month old son, and so to say we were a bit late getting off the ship is quite an understatement. We were originally hoping to see the Giants Causeway, but arriving so late into town we were not very optimistic. Not surprising, the buses were all gone already and many taxi tours were sold out. Just on a whim I sought out for one last look at tours. Luckily I had the great fortune of stopping at a small desk inside the Belfast information center and speaking with Paul at Value Cabs. He informed me that they could accommodate our family of 5, but that all cabs were gone for the day so he personally would take us on a private tour, including the Giant’s Causeway! We were delighted and felt the price was very reasonable as well. Paul was amazing and made the trip very special. He customized the trip to include places that would interest us and made sure that we were able to enjoy many scenic back roads along the way. The Giant’s Causeway did not disappoint either. Simply stunning! And while we were enjoying the hexagonal rocks- Paul was kind enough to buy a souvenir for my mother, myself, and my daughter to wish us good luck. Hands down- this was the best tour ever! We will never forget Paul and the wonderful memories he helped us create. I would absolutely recommend taking a private tour with them.

I’d heard about taxi tours through my eldest son. I chose Cab Tours Belfast and I wasn’t disappointed our driver was called Eddie and he as absolutely fabulous. The detail that is given in the tour opened our eyes about what the people of Belfast have gone through, open to questions and totally honest about the hard times. It’s run by 14 drivers but I won’t give to much away to spoil it for other visitors but I so recommend and would give a ten out of ten.

As the Summer Cruise season kicking into high gear, I want to share with you our recent experience. We went on a 12 day British Isle cruise in early June. As usual we did our own thing and arranged a private tour for the 6 of us in Belfast to visit the Giant's Causeway, having been to Ireland twice previously, but never had the opportunity to visit the Giant's Causeway. My research on the internet as well as tripadvisor resulted with a long list of potential tour operators. One of them responded to my inquiry very quickly, it was Michael Rock from Belfast Mural Tours. We settled on an itinerary and the price for the tour. The reason for us to pick a private tour operator rather than using the cruise excursion is that we had a long list of attractions to see in one day:
• 8:30 am, pick up at the Belfast Cruise Ship Port
• Dark Hedges
• Dunluce Castle (Photo stop)
• Giant’s Causeway
• Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge (Photo stop at viewing point)
• Famous Antrim Coast Road (Travel through the 9 Glens of Antrim)
• Carrickfergus Castle (Photo stop)
• Belfast City Tour (wall murals, peace walls, Falls Road, Shankill Road)
• Drop off at the Cruise Ship Port around 6 pm
Since we packed lunch bags and was able to eat on the road to save time, Michael threw in two more attractions, the Glenarif Forest Park with waterfalls and the Titanic Museum. Being a certified tour guide, his knowledge of the local area and its rich history made our tour an enjoyable one. If you ever have a chance to go to Belfast and want to visit the local attractions, please look up Michael and his tour company. At the end of our tour, we gave him a nick name "Michael the Rock Star".

Although I used the cab service extensively for my travels, the GOT tour I booked was excellent. Our Driver Stewart Baillie was excellent. We had a great time and it was real value for money. He did everything to make our trip comfortable and helped us enjoy the tour to the fullest. I have just one complaint that even though the cab service claims hat credit/debit cards are accepted in the cabs, half of the cabs either don't have the service running or would discourage the use of cards and may even ask to pay additional 4% for using cards. Apart from this issue I have no other complaints.

Picked up Value Taxi from outside George Best Airport. Driver was great, explained £2.00 Waiting charge, will be added to fare which was understandable as drivers need a ticket to enter the airport. Booked Taxi for return journey. Received text confirming Taxi details. Hot a whistestop tour of Belfast on way back to Airport, driver was great. Can't fault Value Cabs, will definitely use on return to Belfast.
