Spent a couple of nights here so we could enjoy some CADW sites of south Wales (Tintern and Raglan). The National Trust property was an added bonus but really is worth it as a stand alone! The site is very welcoming. Pitches are well laid out though I would imagine it's a walk from the more distant lower pitches to the toilet block. We had some lovely shade to our pitch as it was a hot weekend. The facilities block was extremely clean and the wardens very helpful especially as we had an issue with our caravan electrics on arrival. The Asda down the road is great and there is loads to do in the area. Some noise from the local road, the M4 is just white noise really. Not an issue. Will be returning soon!

What a fantastic site a hidden gem. Immaculate and very large pitches, super hot showers and great washing up facilities. The staff are wonderfully helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Totally dog friendly with acres around the House for them to play or just wander. This is our first visit here and certainly will not be the last. It is easy to find as it is just off the M4.

Great site, easy to find and brilliant facilities. Based within the grounds of Tredegar House and Park means plenty to see and loads of dog walks, also cafe and shops linked to house. Will definitely be staying again

What a fab site. Everything you'd expect from a CAMC site in terms of amenities. The site is in the grounds of a National trust site which is great for walks and exploring. Newport is also a good base for visiting local tourist destinations - Cardiff, Cardiff Bay, Caerphilly Castle and Caerleon. Newport itself isn't very nice although the city centre has a very good range of restaurants and a cinema. There is no park for children and the site is small which may be a problem if you have children in tow.

We recently stayed at this site for 3 nights. It is spotlessly clean and very well looked after. We had a fully serviced pitch of which there are 4 on this site. The only down side to this is that they are the farthest away from the toilet block and showers. These are located up a small hill at the top of the site. The shower block is warm and clean, has 4 shower cubicles, 5 WCs and plenty of wash hand basin cubicles with hairdryers built in. There is a code to use to get into the shower block which can be a bit fiddly but you soon get the hang of it. There is a lovely little lake and children's play area at the entrance of the site. Great for riding bikes to and around. Close by are some tourists attractions. We visited St Fagans and Big Pit, both were amazing places to visit and very interesting. Entrance to these museums is free but there is a small charge for parking. There is an Asda very close to the caravan site which is useful and a fairly good chip shop close by. We throughly enjoyed our trip and will definitely be returning in the future.
