Lovely National Trust house in the middle of Salisbury, looking over the cathedral green. Currently the car parks in Salisbury are free in the afternoons so it’s well worth a visit.

Located in Cathedral close is this National Trust early 18th century house. A very fine house built in 1701 by a wealthy wiltshire family is handsomely furnished and has a good garden. £7.70 entrance fee. Well worth a visit.

A good example of a National Trust property which has been sympathetically preserved to give a good idea of what it was like to live here in the middle of the last century. Also has a tea room and a gift shop

We popped in as we were on the way to the cathedral and we are NT members. The setting is idyllic and the house has a lovely back garden and beautiful facade.
