The Jewellery Quarter is situated a stone's throw away from Birmingham City Centre. Not only is it renowned as the destination for high quality, bespoke Jewellery, but it is home to over fifty independent restaurants, bars and cafes including the popular Jam House; Peel & Stone Bakery, The Church and The Lord Clifden. The Quarter is home to over 200 Listed buildings including the Grade I* St Paul's Church which sits on top of the last Georgian Square in Birmingham. It includes three museums, two of which are preserved factories, attractions such as Escape Live and Wonderful World of Trains & Planes; two galleries and much more. Whether it is shopping, sightseeing or drinks out with friends, the Jewellery Quarter is one of the most up and coming areas in Birmingham city centre.

I was lucky enough to be in a small guided tour group led by Rupert. He was informative and instructive, but I felt pressured by the need to end by 4pm (closing time). This beautifully preserved museum (except for the area shrouded in plastic due...More
